This 62” Farmhouse vintage Standing lamp is quite well made and is really attractive. Its elegant design with a gold pole and spiral cage, small base, and pretty shade add a very nice touch to the room.The standing lamp arrived well packaged and for the most part came preassembled, with its electric cord pre-threaded through the base and the four pole pieces. The three straight pole pieces and base all screwed together very nicely, and for these three pole sections, the diameter is wide enough that the electric cord inside didn’t catch or twist. However, screwing on the top spiral piece does necessarily twist the cord. Therefore, I added these steps for attaching the top section:1. Pull the cord at the base to bring the fourth, spiral piece to the top of the pole.2. Before connecting it, rotate it counter clockwise several turns to pre-twist the cord.3. Screw the top piece clockwise onto the pole, which will undo the previous twist so the cord ends up having little or no twist.The lampshade (designed for compact shipment) consists of a rolled up shade and two white metal rings. The shade has a white fabric exterior and white plastic interior, which is sufficiently stiff to provide rigidity for the lampshade. At its top and bottom inside edges are small steel clips that connect onto the metal rings, and its side edges are held together via a velcro seam. The lampshade looks very pretty, although it would be better if those steel clips had been painted white.The Lamp comes with an unusual LED bulb that as you turn it off and on cycles through a reddish, neutral, and blueish color temperature. I prefer the light spectrum to stay the same, so I replaced the bulb with one that provides the same color temperature choices only using a built-in physical switch.I am really enjoying this floor lamp.Highly recommended!

The included LED bulb was a nice bonus, so I was able to set it up and start using it right away.The linen shade softens the light nicely, making it bright enough for reading while still creating a warm, cozy atmosphere. I've been using it in my living room, and it provides the perfect amount of ambient lighting in the evenings.The base feels heavy and stable, which is important with kids and pets running around the house. It doesn't wobble, and the slim design fits easily beside a chair or sofa without taking up much floor space.Overall, this is a stylish, well-made floor lamp that looks more expensive than its price. If you're looking for something with a little more personality than a basic floor lamp, the spiral cage detail really makes this one stand out.

Color:I ordered the brown. The box says it is brown. You can BARELY see the slightest difference between the black cord and the lamp components. I'm straining my eyes to see it. Maybe it is a softer shade than pure black?Assembly:Assembly is easy. 1 out of 5 with 5 being the most difficult.Simply follow the cord from the base to screw the post together. The base is especially heavy. It would not be easy to tip. Almost need to be making an effort to do so. The post screws together Tightly. As with the base, the post sections are heavy and durable. I would rather that a floor lamp be one continuous post. Not four sections that screw together. However that is what you get these days as they are doing this to make it easier to ship to your home. I had all the metal components s fewer together within minutes. Once it was resting on the floor I could see that it was a deep dark chocolate or mocha coffee color. Being this dark I can see the joints as I stand next to it.Height:With the harp in place I find that it is as tall as me. I'm 5' tall. Love the "basket"! It will go great with the new basket balusters we are installing.The Shade:Putting the wire rings on the shade clips was probably the Most difficult part of the operation. Patience. Slow and steady wins the race when doing this. Looking at the shade I see that they stretched the fabric winky during applying it to the plastic shade base. I've included a photo so you can understand what I'm seeing. I think it will drive me nuts because linen should be straight and this most definitely is not. The material is so thin I can see the plastic shine through it. I'm not a big fan of the Velcro closure shades to begin with. So, adding this fault to the product is really throwing my senses off. Ill be looking for a different shade.The shade measures 13" in diameter across the bottom and 11" across the top for a pleasant cone type of shape. It is 10" tall.Bulb and Base type:This fixture comes with an led bulb that has three color tones: 3000K, 4000K and 6000K. It is an 800 lumen bulb.The fixture takes the common E26 base. The bulb sent has the E26 base and typical A19 form. The instructions let you know that an incandescent bulb of 60 watts or less is recommended if you care to go that route.The fixture plugs into a standard outlet and is turned on and to the "color" of your choice using the manual switch on the socket side.I find this fixture to have a form and color that is attractive. With weekly dusting it should stay that way for a long time. My only issues are the joints on the post and the way the fabric was applied to the shade.This is a great accent lamp!
