We are using this adjustable thermostat for our greenhouse fan. I like how it is working out. I have the thermostat on the wall below the fan which is set in a gable end. The fan itself looks just like a gable end attic fan with louvers to the outside and the fan inside. So, when the fan is off the louvers are closed... when on the louvers open with the wind from the fan. It is exhausting hot air out of the greenhouse and creating a nice steady air exchange throughout.What I like:1) It is an easy build. Easy to install and comprehend.2) Easy to use.3) Controls the fan well for us.4) Dependable5) Fire Safety switch. If it senses extreme temperatures, the switch automatically turns off the fan to prevent a fire.6) 120V standard wiring. No expensive heavy wiring needed for either the fan or controller.7) Energy saving. The switch automatically turns on the fan when the temp is above what I have it set at and turns it off when the temperature goes below what I have it set at.8) Works 24/7 without me having to turn the fan on and off. Helping to offer the perfect environment for the greenhouse plants.9) Wide Variety of uses: Attic Fan, Greenhouse Fan, Garage ventilation fan, Livestock barn fan, Chicken coop fan, shed and warehouse.

I have a pair of attic fans that use this type of thermostatic control; and one of them had the thermostat fail, so this unit gave me a direct replacement. If you're handy at all, these are easy to replace; they wire up easily and this one was the same size and functionality of the original. Temperature range was the same, even.I have a tall peak in my ceiling and I have considered installing a thermostatically controlled fan to vent the heat up in that peak during the summer, and this type of thermostat offers the versatility to control something of that sort as well. I needed to install a temperature controller for my fan in my storage shed. This regulator was easy to install and get working. The temperature controller is easy to set with just a screwdriver. The fan turned on at the set temperature and started cooling quickly. The controller also turned off the fan when the temperature came back down. Overall this is a decent controller and will be worth the cost versus having a standard off/on switch.

The built-in fire safety shutoff also gave a bit of extra peace of mind, which I didn’t realize I’d appreciate as much as I do now.In daily use, it does exactly what you want it to do—keeps things regulated without any fuss or constant adjusting. There is nothing inherently wrong with that approach, but I could not identify anything that would justify calling this a "2026 upgraded" product. In terms of design, materials, and construction, it feels much more like a device from the 1960s than a modern control system.Construction quality was disappointing. The metal enclosure is quite thin and bends easily with modest handling. While it is functional, it does not inspire much confidence in long-term durability.One of my biggest concerns involves the wiring openings. The unit provides separate openings for incoming and outgoing wiring, but the holes are simply bare metal edges. There are no grommets, bushings, or protective inserts to prevent wire insulation from rubbing against the metal. At a minimum, I would strongly recommend adding some type of protective grommet during installation.The product listing references built-in fire safety shutoff protection, but I was unable to identify any separate over-temperature protection mechanism inside the unit. The internal components appear to consist only of the thermostat assembly and wiring connections.
