WS2812B Individually Addressable 24V RGB LED Strip

These strips are great if you want RGB color range and are not wanting whites. These can reproduce white but do not have a dedicated color for whites which means it will consume more power. If you are looking into RGB only these are awesome. They have 3 wires which make soldering them easy compared to 4 or 5 wire strips. Cut lines are at every pixel. Adhesive backing is great for LED channel which is what I use and avoid using it on walls, etc. with an LED channel it assists in heat distribution preventing them from overheating. I’ve been using BTF for year and not one failure. This strip does not come with a power supply not a controller. They do make plug and play kits and if you feel this is the way to go do not get strip but get the kit. If you Ike to tinker there are plenty of videos on YouTube on how to connect a controller to LED strips like this one. One thing I have notice is BTF has improved in their LED attached connectors. They look and feel beefier. It’s good if you need it but including is 2 pigtails which are easier to insert and hide inside a channel.

With 300 individually addressable LED's, powered by a 24V power adaptor, this LED strip can light up pretty much any scenario you want. At full brightness they are actually way too bright, in my opinion, which means that either they can work in situations where you need a lot of light, or you can crank the brightness - and therefore power level - WAY down (the attached video was running at about 8%, or 20 out of 255 if you prefer).Note that you will need to bring your own controller and power adaptor, so depending on what controller you use you may have more or less options to choose from. I used a WLED controller, and it worked perfectly on all the settings I tried it on.My one "complaint" about this string is that it is on the wider side - 10mm to be exact - but that isn't unusual for these, and in fact can be considered a plus if you need any connectors to cut/splice the string. I just prefer the narrower 5 or 7mm strips personally. The LED's are also quite directional - you'll likely want to use them behind a diffuser, because if you are off to the side at all, you won't see them. Again though, not a big deal.Overall, if you are looking for LED strip lights, and have (or can get) a 24V power supply and compatible controller, these are an excellent choice that will allow for a huge range of light patterns, and as such are well worth considering.

I paired this Addressable 24V RGB LED Strip (16.4ft 60LED/m 300LED) from BTF-LIGHTING with a BTF-LIGHTING SP805E WLED-ESP32 controller and a BTF-LIGHTING 24V power supply. This setup allowed me to control this strip with my Home Assistant system. As with all of my past creations with BTF-LIGHTING products, this strip is built well and is very high quality. The soldering and cable connections on the strip are flawless and I do not have any faulty diodes. The lights are bright and dim well in a stepless manner. All of the colors are brilliant and consistent along the entire length of the strip thanks to the 24VDC system. I am still learning about the WLED programming, but everything I have tried so far, has behaved as expected and looks great.One thing I did find curious, is there is a card in the package that states that this strip is a complimentary upgrade that is certified by CE/UKCA/UL and they show the upgraded terminals. However, the two stand-alone connectors that they provided with the strip are the old version terminals. They are interchangeable, but I would have thought that they would have provided matching new style terminals.For the current price of $49.99, I feel this strip is a good value for an addressable RGB and high-quality LED strip.

BTF has amazing quality LED strips with tons of varieties available. This set has the individually addressable LEDs that allow gradients of colors and not just one color per strip, which offers some awesome flexibility in use for cool lighting projects.You will need an appropriate 24V power supply along with a controller to use and change color, etc. But it does come with some adapters and voltage sag adjustment, which is great if you’re connecting multiple strips.While this is a quality set with bright lights and sturdy built in connectors, it is a bit high priced, and the instructions said it was UL listed but the one I received is not. All my other BTF lights have the UL listing sticker tag on the strips, but nowhere to be found on this one. But it is CE and UKCA, which is good. But definitely drops a star since the UL is what I was looking for.
