These rope rollers are incredibly easy to use, and sized to work great with hammock strings, which is what I bought them for. They're also great for camping and tying down things in the car, they're useful for a million things. The build quality is good, they hold fast, and there is no catches or sharp edges to fray a rope. They look great unfinished, and at this price, they're a great buy that will come in handy a thousand times over.

Always looking for cinch-up line to tie down items on the boat. As I reviewed this set, I was a little disappointed. The clips look like they are made of cheap cast zinc. This will probably be fine as long as I don't put too much load on them. The pawl design is sub-optimal as well. The teeth are oriented perpendicular to the line which can cause wear on the line if you don't disengage the pawl when tightening the rope. All in all, I don't feel this is a well designed piece of kit but for snugging down a light load, these will probably do the trick for the cost involved. Just be careful that you won't lose an expensive piece of gear if one of these breaks.

These are so simple and yet so great! My thought was using them for tying down stuff using the little cargo loops in the back of my SUV so things aren't going to move around on a bumpy road or if i had to hit the brakes hard to avoid some bad driver. Super easy to use, i can tie knots that do the same thing but this is far more convenient and faster to tighten and loosen. Just insert the rope, pull to tight, done, when you want to release you just push the lever and it releases the rope and away you go. Good quality, they really grip the rope tightly, just the right size for small cargo, tarps, camping etc. I will be ordering some more for quick cargo tie downs, better then a bungie cord and a ratchet strap would be overkill for small stuff. For me its a good value for the money because they save so much time over tying and removing knots.

These roller clips can be quickly used to secure lighter loads or put tension on items. The examples show use for tents, packing, clothes lines, boating, and the like. I was impressed by the construction which uses strong metal parts and they seem reasonably strong for their size. I was also impressed with the holding power when under tension. The jaw really digs into the nylon cord to hold the tension. No need to tie knots around trees, D-rings or anything else.While I wouldn't use them for situations where a life was involved or safety was a strong concern, they really come in handy around the house or outdoors for temporary uses.
