I used these to connect my LED light string, and they made the job so much easier than I expected. They’re quick, easy to use, and basically a no-brainer, even for someone like me who doesn’t know much about wiring. I followed the video that comes with the listing, and it shows exactly what to do, so I didn’t have to figure it out on my own.I didn’t even have to strip the wires first. The advertisement is accurate. I am very impressed with these Wire Connectors. They are very easy to use: Simply put the Positive and Negative wires in the Holes and close the Clamp, once the two sets of wires are in the visible slots, clamp down on the housing and the device cuts through the coating into the wires. By connecting the ends of the housing together allows you to connect the two ends of the wires together without cutting or splicing anything. Perfect connections, very satisfied with this device.

These wire connectors are great to have on hand for many diy wiring projects. I do a lot of automotive wiring and frequently fine myself needing to connect wires together. These work great because it’s not a permanent connection: you can unplug them at any time and reconnect them.Recently, I installed an LED light in custom ashtray that I made in my car’s interior. I used these connectors to allow me to disconnect it so that I can empty it out. It worked perfectly.I used it on 20 gauge wire and it spliced perfectly and holds the connection firmly in place. It took less than 5 minutes to add these into my wiring circuit and it’s been holding up well. They are very small in size: about half the size of a quarter. I'm giving these quick connectors 4 stars because they absolutely deliver on convenience. If you are working on dry, indoor DIY projects, they are a massive time-saver. Lifting the lever, pushing the wire in, and snapping it shut takes seconds, and the fact that they are reusable is a huge plus for testing circuits.However, there are a few important caveats you should know before buying:Strictly for thin, low-voltage wires: While the listing mentions 18–22 AWG, these really only work well on the thinner end of the wire diameter spectrum. Even at 18 gage, the clear covers become difficult to close without pliers.Vampiric connection style: The mechanism relies on a small internal metal "V" that pierces through the insulation to make contact with the wire. Because it cuts the insulation rather than sealing around it, these are not waterproof at all, and probably should not be used in a high vibration environment (like automotive) where the very narrow contact could come loose or eventually cut the wire.Corrosion risk: Because the connection point is exposed to the air inside the housing, these contacts tend to corrode pretty quickly under voltage—especially if there is any moisture or humidity in the air.Verdict: They are brilliant for low-voltage indoor setups like model kits, speakers, or clean LED strip installations. Just avoid using them in automotive engine bays, motorcycles, or anywhere they might face the elements.

These are very nice connectors for smaller gauge wires. They're very well constructed and what's really nice is you don't have to strip the insulation off the wires to use them. And using them is very easy. you simply stick the wires into the holes on the connectors and snap the plastic cap down. when the cap snaps down it pushes the wires onto metal terminals which will mate with another connector when it's plugged in. What's also great is that the connectors mate with each other. There isn't a male or female side they have to worry about. They said the conductors are very well built and the only caveat I have is that they're not waterproof in the least. So these are not really usable outside in the elements. For speaker, LED lighting, phone lines, etc., these connectors will work great. if you can buy these with a coupon they're an exceptional value.
