just 'ok'.

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
This gate is just 'ok', nothing great. It does feel fairly durable. The powder coating covered all external parts. The item descriptions and pictures hides a few things you might want to know.* Comes with self-tapping screws. Not predrilled/threaded holes.* The pickets sit inside the top/bottom rails. The metal doesn't touch. The pickets sit inside a plastic separator - very hard to see it in the pictures and not in the item description at all. I would guess water could pool inside these. Seems like poor design choice.* There likely is rust on the inside of the gate parts. Simply taking part out of the plastic packaging sleeves I could see rust dust.During assembly, one of the screws stripped the self-made threads. Seems like a defect in the metal. Luckily, there are 2 screws that hold together in that section otherwise it wouldn't have worked at all.

Looks much better than the baby gate. Keeps dog safe.

I bought it to keep my Norwegian Elkhound dog secured on the front porch, and it does the job without feeling flimsy or decorative-only. It is pretty solid, the finish looks good, and it doesn’t wobble or rattle when he leans on it.The installation and building is pretty straight forward. Everything lined up for me. I like that it’s cuttable, so you can adjust it if your space isn’t perfectly standard. The rust‑proof textured finish is a nice, we will see if it stays rust free. It feels pretty sturdy. Just note that the hinge and lock aren’t included, so you’ll need to grab hardware separately, but once it’s installed, it feels reliable and secure. I bought hefty hinges since my dog sometimes jumps up on it and I need to keep him safe and secured on the porch. He likes to watch the neighborhood. I secured it to a plastic railing with inside metal support. It isn't sagging.Great option if you need a strong, clean-looking gate that can handle a big dog and outdoor use.

Well-Proportioned, Heavy Gate. We Are Ordering More in Larger Size.

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
My husband and I are in the process of building two outdoor entries with gated sections. We will incorporate this 4ft wide, 32 in high metal gate section into one of those entries—it will span a space between two concrete walls. After putting this gate together, we have decided that we like it well enough to purchase two more of this brand in the taller size (42 inch) for our main entry—one for the gate itself, and one to divide in half for side-sections. We think that the proportions of this gate are attractive in both sizes, and that it is well-constructed. It comes without any hardware, however. In our case, this doesn’t matter as we have our own. This gate is heavy, not the lightweight aluminum that so many black gates are made of now. In that sense, it matches the older wrought iron fencing that lines our driveway and part of our yard. Installation will require heavy-duty hinges and securely mounted posts. It has thick, square, hollow rails. Though 32 inches is low enough to be climbable, these rails make the gate appear imposing. I am quite happy with this product.

Heavy-Duty, Customizable Gate for Secure Outdoor Use

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
The YeeJinHong 4ft W x 32in Wrought Iron Deck Gate is a solid option for anyone looking to add security and structure to a patio, porch, or garden area. Its heavy-duty iron construction feels sturdy and dependable, and the AAMA2604-rated black textured finish gives it strong resistance against rust and weather exposure. I like that it’s cuttable, offering flexibility for custom installations depending on your space. The clean, simple design blends well with most outdoor setups without looking overly bulky or industrial. Keep in mind that hinges and locks are not included, so additional hardware will be needed for installation. Overall, it’s a durable and adaptable gate that provides both function and long-term outdoor reliability.

Great modern aesthetic and perfect for keeping the dog on the deck

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
I purposely picked up this standalone deck gate piece fully knowing that it does not include any hinges or locking hardware. It is just the gate panel itself, so you will need to source your own hardware if you intend to hang it traditionally. I don't actually own the specific matching deck railing system, but I bought this with the exact intention of using it across my stairs to keep my dog safely contained on the deck. For that purpose, it is great, but there are a few quirks you should know before buying. With the hollow rails, I was expecting something lightweight, but this thing is surprisingly heavy! The build is solid and feels very secure, but because of that weight, it needs proper support. If you try to just stand it up on its own, it will fall over, which is a major hazard for kids or pets--especially when subjected to the punishing outdoor winds where I live. I managed to get creative by utilizing a couple of brackets on my existing deck posts that the gate can sit on to hold it securely in place. My dog is still a bit suspicious of this new addition to the deck, but otherwise, it functions as a perfectly simple, heavy-duty barrier. As is typical with Amazon listings lately, the description runs the gamut and contradicts itself by calling it wrought iron in the title and galvanized steel in the bullet points. In person, I am fairly confident it is actually galvanized steel. The black textured finish looks nice and is that simple modern aesthetic. My only quality quibble is that some of the welds look a little sloppy. They are holding together perfectly fine and the gate feels structural, but they just aren't very pretty to look at upon close inspection--not that that's something a normal person would really notice.I got a laugh from the title claiming that this gate is "cuttable." I initially saw that and figured I would easily be able to trim it down to size if I ran into a tight fit with my stair opening. Having looked at the actual construction in person, I have absolutely no idea what parts a homeowner would even be cutting on this. There are zero instructions provided for how to cut it, the gate wouldn't even assemble or function properly if you started slicing chunks off the frame, and the average DIYer isn't going to have the heavy power tools required to cleanly chop through this material anyway. If you try, you will probably just ruin the rust-proof coating as well as the gate. Ignore that and assume you'll be buying it for the exact dimensions listed. It is a strong, heavy piece of steel that works beautifully as long as you have a plan to secure it.

Helpful for the overall project.

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
This wrought iron deck gate is an excellent heavy-duty security solution for your outdoor spaces.Durable Construction and FinishWeather Resistance: The AAMA 2604 black textured finish provides superior durability against UV rays, humidity, and temperature extremes. It is a high-performance coating that resists chalking, fading, and corrosion for many years.Heavy-Duty Material: The wrought iron construction looks like it will help offer high tensile strength.Pet-Safe Design: Vertical bar spacing design will help prevent climbing.Customization and InstallationAdjustable Width: This gate is cuttable, allowing it to fit openings up to four feet wide. This flexibility is ideal for custom deck or porch entrances.Professional Appearance: The black textured finish provides a sleek, modern aesthetic that integrates well with various architectural styles, including patios and garden entrances.Pros and Cons🟢 Pros: High-grade rust-proof finish, sturdy wrought iron build, and customizable width for precise fitting.🔴 Cons: Requires separate purchase of hinges and latches; the heavy material may require a second person for installation. This gate is a reliable choice for securing a deck or garden area. It provides the necessary strength to contain large dogs while maintaining a clean, professional appearance. For the cost, not sure why they could not throw in the hinges and lock. And there is nothing easy about cutting this material. Great that you can, but it is not easy and required planning, the right tools, and protecting the exposed metal after all is said and done. All in all, four out of five stars for this one.

Heavy-Duty Steel Gate That Feels Built for Real Outdoor Use

[Color: Black 32in Iron]
This gate made a strong first impression right away because it has real weight to it. The steel feels solid, sturdy, and much more heavy-duty than a light decorative gate. Once you start handling the pieces, it is clear this is made to be a serious outdoor railing or fence gate, not something flimsy that is just there for looks.Installation was also pretty straightforward. The parts made sense, and once I followed the instructions step by step, the whole thing came together without much trouble. I also appreciated that the kit included the drill attachment for driving the screws, because that made the process easier and faster. In my case, the assembly took less than 20 minutes once I got everything laid out.For my setup, I got this gate because we are putting together a new fence area to help keep our dogs separated from our flock. For that kind of use, I wanted something that felt strong, secure, and dependable. This gate fits that need really well. It feels like it can handle real outdoor use and gives the fence area a much more finished and functional setup. The black textured finish also looks nice. It has a clean, classic look that works well for a patio, porch, garden, or animal-area fence without looking cheap or out of place. The overall design is simple, but that is part of what makes it useful.Buyers should know that this is a heavy steel gate, so take your time handling and assembling it. That weight is part of what makes it feel durable, but it is definitely not a flimsy lightweight piece.Overall, I am very happy with this gate. It is heavy-duty, easy enough to assemble, looks good, and feels like a quality piece for an outdoor fence or railing project. For our dog-and-flock setup, it was exactly the kind of strong gate I wanted.

Stylish, sturdy, easy to assembleStylish, sturdy, easy to assemble

[Color: Black 32in Iron, Color: Black 32in Iron]
I have been looking for a reasonably priced, black metal gate for my front yard and the YeeJinHong Wrought Iron Gate fit the bill. Out of the box, the metal shows a good coat of flat black paint with no deep scratches, runs or drips. The steel top and bottom rails and side verticals are 1-1/8" thick. The individual square spindles are a bit smaller but are held securely in place thanks to the plastic inserts the manufacturer installed in each square hole. There is no metal to metal contact in the spindles, so there should be no rattling when the gate is in use.Black painted self drilling screws are included in the package, as well as the star drive bit needed to drive the screws.I like the gate, and assembly was fast but I need to mention that some of the corner wells are not perfect 90 degree angles. ( see photo) This is important to keep in mind when putting the parts together. Rather than take a chance, and 'eye it', I assembled the gate on some work horses, squared every angle, and clamped the pieces before driving the 8 screws into the steel. The bit of extra effort paid off as the gate is nice and square. Final installation should be much easier.Usually, I repaint most steel items destined for the outdoors as the road salt spray and below zero winter temps are a force here in the mountains. I'll paint the gate, but it really doesn't require it for typical applications.I consider this wrought iron gate a good value for the price
