This RUCADO Ratchet Strap was very easy to operate straight out of the box; and I really like the auto retract feature. You lock the ratchet strap in release mode and the strap extends from the ratchet mechanism to a length of 12 feet. And when you are not using the RUCADO ratchet strap the 12 foot of strap material stores itself inside of the ratchet, no more tangled straps to straighten out and untwist before they can be used. I like the bright green color which makes it easy to see them when you forget where you put them and they show up nice on your tied down cargo. The safety latches on the S-hooks are almost as important as the ratcheting system; I do not know the tremendous amount of times when I have attached an S-hook to an anchor point and then pull on the strap only to find out that the S-hook keeps falling off again and again, the safety latches prevents this from happening. These RUCADO ratchet straps are 1" wide and have a breaking strength of up to 1650 lbs. Also included are 4 soft straps to hook the s-hooks on and a carrying case for everything to be stored in. Maintenance Tip, these straps can and will get rained on; they will dry and be fine; if they are in mud and dirt they need to be immediately washed with just cold water to clean out the ratcheting mechanism. If they ever are a little stiff to move; lubricate the ratcheting gears. I think these RUCADO Ratcheting Straps perform great and they are my go to tiedown straps; Without a doubt, I recommend RUCADO Ratchet Straps to anyone who uses tiedown straps like I do.
