It still gets the job done, but having a slightly thicker or longer handle profile would definitely make it feel more ergonomic and natural to hold during extended use.If a more compact handle size doesn't bother you, it's a solid piece that looks sharp. Just something to keep in mind if you prefer a larger, more substantial grip!

I have lived in my home for 9 years and it was built about 20 years ago. I am fairly certain that the bathroom fixtures, hardware and trim is as old as the house. Sometimes when you see something daily, you do not notice the wear and tear that occurs over time. I finally took notice several months ago of the outdated and worn fixtures throughout the house and particularly in the 3 bathrooms that are/were in basic matte chrome. I began an ongoing project to replace and revamp all of the faucets, fixtures and hardware to a more current and updated style in a bright gold. I made most of the changes in my master bath. The remaining item to replace was the old shower valve trim that had become dull, scratched and had a bit of corrosion. Over time, it also had gotten out of place and there was a tiny leak from the cover plate.The existing shower plate and handle had become so old that I could not determine the manufacturer. This set is made for a Moen Gibson model. I really liked the sleek look and design of this item and it was the perfect gold color to match with the other accents in my master shower, so I decided to take a chance and go by measurements. I carefully measured the diameter of the plate and also ensured the two tiny circular marking inserts in red and blue (for hot and cold) were in the same spots. Both products have a single handle and I measured that insert as well.I was absolutely delighted when this gold shower trim kit arrived and it was an exact match and fit for my master shower stall. I was able to unscrew and remove the old handle. Then, I learned that a handyman was coming to my house to make a couple of minor repairs. I decided to let the expert finish the switch out and installation. He completed both the removal of the old and the installation of the new within 10 minutes by using the gold screws and attaching the parts. He mentioned that the entire task was quite simple. This kit does not include a separate valve or cartridge. Luckily, those items were still in good shape and fit the trim seamlessly. The plate lies flat against the shower wall with no leaks or gaps. The handle is easy to turn to the left for hot and to the right for cold water output. There are special features that work to prevent the water from getting too hot and to prevent overflow of water output. I usually turn the shower water on just a couple of minutes in advance to get the right temperature. On occasion, I become distracted and forget the water is running. So, these extra features are a big bonus for me.This lovely gold colored shower handle and escutcheon set has a terrific sleek and modern design made of a sturdy and strong metal. The invisible screws hold tight and firm. The finish is a polished medium antique shade of gold which is such an upgrade from the dull and outdated chrome. The antique gold finish style I anticipate will help disguise any potential scratches and nicks that may occur over time. This valve trim set is exactly what I was looking for to complete my project of revamping the fixtures and hardware in the master bathroom. I had done plenty of research and already completed the renovations in the other two bathrooms, so I was very familiar with costs. This product is very competitively priced.

Solid fit and matched the other gold hardware im using. I have been looking for this exact same faucet and trim and I found it here at a much better value. However be 100% sure you actually have a moen gibson t290 valve because there are a few simialr versions that wont work. the pros the good- the appearance is so good looking and modern, the durability seems great so far but ive only used it 2 weeks, im curious to see about it after 1 year,It included all the parts needed for the install and the screws were gold as well and thats something over faucets missed. Other brands ive heard have missing parts but no issues with that here, the installation was not the simplest so you might want to watch some vids and get some practice so you dont break anything. all the parts were looking well built so Im pleased speacially it being under 50 bucks. You will enoy the feel and fuciton

This was a direct fit replacement for my Moen shower handle. The brushed gold is a beautiful color and looks exactly as pictured. It was really easy to install, just a couple of screws and the I was able to replace the whole thing in less than 15 minutes. My only complaint is that the little dot for the hot/cold indicator is slightly off center and is more brass than brushed gold.
