These post anchor brackets are formed to wrap post corners with tabs to anchor to a floor or deck. With the pre-drilled holes and included screws, installation is straight forward and pretty simple. Due to the single corner design, these brackets will fit any posts that are 1.5" x 1.5" or larger. They are designed to be an appropriate solution when anchoring a vertical post to a flat, horizontal surface.My concerns with these brackets lie in the 1/16" thickness (16 ga.) of the steel and the very thin painted finish. I would prefer to see steel with twice the thickness - around 1/8" and a heavier painted finish. I feel these brackets are fine for interior use but I question their longevity in a damp outdoor application. The finish on the brackets I received is thin and has small spots where steel is showing through. Between the thin finish and the thin gauge steel, I expect these brackets to start rusting within a year or two.I actually ordered these brackets to anchor some 1.5" x 1.5" steel railing posts. I plan to use ABS pads between the anchoring flaps and the concrete deck surface in order to isolate the brackets from moisture. I will also apply additional paint after installation. I'm hoping these efforts will extend the life of these steel anchors.I feel these anchoring brackets are a bit overpriced, considering the minimal quality. For that reason, I took off a star and do not consider these to be a great value for the price.

These brackets are the only sturdy solutions that I could find for attaching 2 x 2's to a deck platform. These accommodate the 1.5" side, and the provided screws work great. I left a 1/4" clearance under these posts so that moisture does not get trapped, as I experienced before. Had to replace the base bolts for shorter ones, but that's just because of my usage, cannot hold it against the product. These feel sturdy and reliable, and the black coating is adherent, expect a long usage life for these brackets.

They can accommodate several different post sizes, including 1.5” x 1.5”, 2” x 2”, 2” x 4”, and 4” x 4” posts, which makes this kit much more versatile than having to purchase different brackets for every project.Another feature I really appreciate is the open-and-wrap design. Since the brackets can be installed around posts that are already in place, there’s no need to dismantle an existing structure just to install the hardware. That can save a lot of time and unnecessary work when making repairs.They can be used for a variety of projects beyond decks, including fences, pergolas, patio covers, railings, and even mailbox mounts. They’re also reusable, which is a nice benefit for DIY projects.My husband really likes these, and his approval is always a good sign when it comes to hardware! They’re strong, versatile, well made, and a good value. I recommend them.
