What a Cool Light Fixture!!This Modern take on the MCM Sputnik style is marvelous!Love the frosted glass globes!!This has 16 Frosted 4 inch Glass globes! They each screw into a chrome rod. Eight on each side. There is a chrome rod coming down from the ceiling too.Good instructions walk you through installation. Safety first! Make sure there is no power and always utilize a junction box. The instructions mention both. (applause)The fixture utilizes sixteen G9 bulbs with a max length of 2.1" and max width of .7". You can use a three temp bulb or get any between 2700k to 5000k. I opt for the 5000k dimmable daylight bulb and utilize a dimmer switch. Perfect!This fixture is well executed and delivered! Offering plenty of soft diffused light due to the frosted shades.

I absolutely love the mid-century space-age styling of this linear chandelier. It serves as a fantastic focal point, though the fixture does come with a few design quirks and considerations to keep in mind before installing it over your dining table or kitchen island.Adjustability and Mounting HardwareThe physical design is highly adaptable, allowing you to pick and choose which of the included downrods you use to dial in the perfect hang height for your space.However, the hardware itself feels a bit delicate. The ceiling mount features a pivot point that has noticeably more play in it than I would prefer. While it works and holds the fixture up just fine, it feels like it wouldn't survive even a moderately heavy accidental pull on the light.Globe Aesthetics and Minor FlawsThe globes feature a really nice grey smoke mirror glaze that looks incredibly cool, especially when the fixture is turned off. However, it is worth noting a minor manufacturing detail: each globe has a small hole left over from the glass-blowing process. Because of the way the globes screw into the fixture, there is no way to position or hide these holes, so they remain slightly visible.Additionally, be aware of how this fixture distributes light. Because of the Sputnik design, the light is thrown evenly in all directions. It does a wonderful job of illuminating the entire room, but it isn't ideal if you need focused, directional task lighting directly down onto an island or table.Bulb Selection and Customer ServiceThis fixture requires 11 individual G9 bulbs. Keep in mind that high-quality G9s can get pricey, so you will want to factor that into your overall budget. I initially installed 3000K frosted LED bulbs, which looked okay, but I eventually swapped them for warmer 2700K frosted bulbs to better match my other kitchen lights. While the frosted globes option might be slightly easier on the eyes when illuminated, the smoke grey is hard to beat for aesthetic appeal.Finally, I have to give credit to their customer service. One of the globes unfortunately arrived broken in the box. I emailed the company directly, and they promptly sent a replacement that arrived in about a week.Final ThoughtsDespite the slightly fragile-feeling ceiling mount and the visible blowing holes in the glass, this is a beautiful mid-century fixture that provides excellent ambient room lighting and comes with responsive customer support.
