I picked this up for my husband for Father's Day. The kids wanted to get him something utility and somebody, might be me, may have accidentally broken his last one. I was very impressed with the quality. The leather engraving on the front is well done and it actually kind of smells like gas or something? I think it smells very manly so I really like it. My husband was very happy with it. And I like that it came in quickly. I think it's a good price for the item and It was received with much happiness.

This is a well built tape measure with a great message!!! Dads will love and appreciate it.It has both metric and imperial measurement scales which is nice to have. The mechanism to lock it in place and retract it works well.The message is engraved on a piece of leather and gives it a higher end feel.This will be a great gift for the handyman Dad. He will appreciate getting it from the kids.

Good quality tape measure, sturdy construction, well made, appears to be accurate, can measure both inches and centimeters, color as expected (yellow), smooth action, easy to extend and retract, easy to use, overall good value for a useful product, exactly as described.The only issue is that the overall quality doesn't really measure up to be a gift. It's more of your basic tape measure that won't survive a drop from a couple of feet onto a concrete floor.

We have a new Papa and we were so excited to find this as it is the perfect gift for him. It is a sturdy and solid tape measure. It has a a good width on the tape and a smooth stop and retract setting. Our Papa is always losing his measuring tape, so this one has just enough orange to be seen and we love that there is sentimental value.This is the perfect gift for Father's Day or Birthday. Can you tell the makers that I want a Pink One with GiGi or Mimi or Mama on it?

My dad is a retired mechanic and welder.He already has all the tools.Like a lot of dads he's obsessed with flash lights and gadgets.I thought this customized tape measure would be the perfect gift because it's something he actually doesn't have.Sure he probably has 10 tape measures already laying in the garage. But he doesn't' have one exclusively telling him his family loves and appreciates his work!I know my dad will love this over any other thing I could get him this father's day.It comes in a nice box, exposing the customized area.It feels heavy, although I haven't opened it and tested it for practical use. I think this is more of a thought gift. I wonder if he would even actually use it for any heavy duty tasks?Regardless, it's a nice gesture to let the man in your life know your thinking of them.

This gift for dad retractable tape feels as solid as many found in a big box store. I wasn’t sure what to expect as often times gift items of this nature can be, well let’s say, more of a novelty than an actual quality items that holds up to frequent use.Starting with the case, the main body is plastic with, what appears and feels like a polyurethane rubber cover that actually provides a very secure grip. The emblem appears to be leather and the backside comes with the standard belt clip and an anti-retract lock at the front. Most tapes have the length of the tape marked on the bottom side of the case for quick referencing when measuring and using the back of the tape against an object. Also, most tapes run 2-1/2” - 3” long for easy addition to the front measurement. This tape is an oddball 3.1” long. Not a big deal if you’re framing but a tenth of an inch is a lot when doing precision work.The metal tape is about your average thickness. It retracts with authority and the markings are crisp and bold. The tang on the end of the tape does slide back and forth for a true zero reading. It also has the typical slot on the tang to hook on a nail, screw, etc., to hold the end when taking long measurements The measure have graduations down to 1/32 for the first 6”, then to 1/16 for the remainder. It is marked for your 1’ intervals as well as 16” centers for framing. It does not have the diamond “truss marks” every 19-3/16” for running floor joist and roof trusses 5 on 8’ for economy framing.Overall, it’s a decent tape for most projects. I outlined its pros and a few shortcomings above, so you can decide if it’s the right gift for your dad as I’m sure you know him best.
