I got this 12-pack of track lighting heads and have been very happy with them. The lights are bright and provide excellent illumination without taking up much space. These look fantastic installed. …plug and play. Although a bit stiff at first, I soon found a firm hand would get adjustment to aim in the direction I preferred. I set them for 6k, and they add quite a bit of light in the direction they serve. I aimed two at the piano over each shoulder to make written scores easy to read. At only 10 watts each, a lot of light for little draw, no danger of overloading the circuit even with 4 preexisting lights. As I mentioned, they are easy to install with a 90 degree twist into the track, then flip the switch to energize the track. Fairly reasonable cost for 6 lights, even better at the current coupon price.

I only mention this because we Viners do have some skin in the game for each item we order.Why I ordered this item: I redid the track lighting in my home studio where I photograph products. I needed something focused and dimmable, and I needed a bunch of them. Twelve heads at this price point looked like it might be the move.Likes:* The color temperature switch on each head is useful. I use the cool daylight setting when I'm shooting and flip to warm for when the room is just a hangout space. Each head has its own little switch.* The beam on these is tight. Super tight. I pointed one at a piece of artwork on my wall and it lit up the painting without throwing much light on the wall around it. That's exactly the behavior I wanted from a narrow spot.* Colors look great under these. I photograph products for a living and I can tell when a light source renders color badly. These don't.* The aluminum housing feels sturdy and has some actual weight to it for what I paid.No likes:* You need a compatible dimmer for the dimming to work and that's not included. I had to buy one separately. The dimming itself works well once you have the right dimmer, but the listing should probably be louder about this.* Swapping all twelve heads to the same color temp by hand is kind of a pain. There's no way to do it from a switch or app. You're up on a ladder flipping a tiny switch on each one.Would I pay full price for this product: YesFinal thoughts: These are zippy little spotlights that punch way above what I expected at this price for a twelve pack. The color accuracy is the standout feature for me. If you need focused, high-CRI light for art or product display, these are worth a serious look.
