Tarps Heavy Duty Waterproof with Grommets

This 6/5x6.5 ft tarp is top-of-the-line quality. The first thing you notice is that the material is thick - 18 mil. Cheap tarps run 5-7 mil. Medium are 9-12. Eighteen mil is really top-of the line. And is protected by a cordeed hems and sturdy, reinforced corner grommets. It is hard to predict how it will stand up to UV, but just based on the thickness it should do much better than most. The price was recently reduced and at $19 it's a pretty good buy.

I don’t use tarps very often, but when I need one, it seems like I can’t ever find mine. I decided to pick up another one just in case and to have one on hand.This tarp is heavy duty and has 18 mil thickness. I don’t exactly know what that means but the tarp feels thick and sturdy. I like that there is a cord built into the perimeter of the tarp. I think this is done to prevent pull through the grommets and to give it some extra strength. The Gromit holes are open enough that a rope can easily go through them. The tarp also comes with a thin rope to help with tying the tarp down. In my opinion this 6 x 8 is well-made and a high-quality tarp.

This heavy-duty tarp has held up remarkably well as a top cover for my outdoor canopy frame. The material is thick and feels really sturdy, easily taking on rain, sun, and outdoor elements without ripping or leaking. The reinforced grommets make it super easy to tie down securely with zip ties or cords, and they don't tear out even when stretched tight over the metal frame. It's a tough, dependable cover that does an awesome job protecting gear from the weather, and I’m really happy with how durable it’s been so far.

We go through quite a few tarps around our house, so I was happy to find one that feels more substantial than some of the others we’ve used. This 6.5 x 6.5 ft. tarp is heavy duty, waterproof, and has reinforced edges and corners, which I’m hoping will help it hold up better over time.We typically use tarps to cover our stack of firewood, patio furniture, and other equipment that stays outdoors. Since these items are exposed to rain, sun, snow, and both hot and cold temperatures, having a more durable tarp is definitely appreciated. The reinforced corners and edges are a nice feature, especially since those areas tend to take a lot of wear.We haven’t had it long enough to say how it will hold up through an entire season of Ohio weather, but it certainly appears sturdy and well made, and I’m optimistic that it will last longer than some of the lighter tarps we’ve used.And on a funny note, when we first took it out of the packaging and spread it on the carpet to look it over, our German Shepherd immediately climbed onto it and decided it was the perfect place for a long nap. So, apparently, it’s not only useful—it’s also dog approved!

Plan to use this tarp for covering an open trailer, and as a base for storing mulch and gravel prior to using it for landscaping. Quite impressed with the thoughtful design of the tarp with reinforced grommets and rope sewn all around the perimeter of the tarp. Should allow this tarp to last longer than a typical low-cost covering. The inclusion of a rope was a nice bonus.

I've never seen a tarp with a cord sewn into the edges. It's a lot stronger than what I usually pick up from the store in a pinch. It's thick, rugged and isn't as prone to tearing. It's easier to secure with all that reinforcement. I mostly use tarps for weather cover, but occasionally use it to haul heavy materials. It also comes with ~5 ml thick rope—not sure about the length (see photos). Between the material, construction, and rope, it's worth the price. Home Depot where I live costs more for a flimsier tarp and no rope.I can't really test the UV or fade resistance, but it adequately blocks light and is water-resistant. Super tough, heavy duty small tarp. It's extremely well made, not just the 18 mil thickness, but the edge seams and grommets, all of which have plastic reinforcements. The material is also really tough and will not tear. It should last a very long time. I've never seen a tarp that is 18 mil thick, and was glad to find this one. It's a nice bright blue color and looks great.It's a perfect size to cover the bed of my Tacoma pickup, at 6.5'x6.5', without a lot of extra flopping around. The grommets will make that really easy to tie down.I'm probably going to use it suspended from some T-posts as a temporary/emergency rain catchment system. It's big enough to collect nearly 30 gallons of water with one inch of rain. But, it's not so big as to be unwieldy and difficult to setup or take down. Other tarps tend to weather fairly quickly and leak water if left out in the sun. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they included a spool of 550 paracord for suspending it.This is a very good value for a difficult to find item.
