New Window Screen Frame Kit

I ordered these but haven't been able to cut or install them, yet, so my review is on what is included and how it measures up to what we needed. The 2 frame set in white includes everything stated to make two frames, including corners, spline (the round cord that holds the screen in place, and a spline tool to tuck it into place. This does not include the screen material, which can be ordered in rolls in a variety of mesh tightness and colors. I have not had time to cut the aluminum pieces yet, and honestly, I'm a bit intimidated with the measurements being exact, but I wanted to report on the product itself and share that it is well made, exact measurements as described, and arrived with enough material to build two window screen frames up to 48x60. I have ordered mesh (no see um level tightness!) and will make this a project for a cooler afternoon. This also comes in 48x48 and 36x36 maximum sizes, in sets of 2 or 4, all in white. I like the frame without the mesh, so I can choose the best for our needs. I do think these will hold up for years, and are very well made. I tested the corner pieces and stopped, as they get quite tight to make a solid angle. I want to get my cuts done and not struggle to take them apart!

I didn't know there were different ways to make these, but apparently there are! (And I think _these_ ones are made the right way, IMO!) I've had to get these things a couple of times, but have just gone to The Big Box Store in the past. What I got there were adequate, but were constructed by folding an aluminum sheet. These are actually aluminum extrusion - a single profile with no bends or joints. I may be biased (if it's possible to be biased about aluminum manufacturing techniques!), but I do feel the extrusion (this) approach is better!Some of the corners were a little damaged / bent (maybe they could add some foam caps?), but nothing major and nothing that wasn't easy to correct.The provided roll-in tool is perhaps a bit on the cheap side, but let's be honest - you're buying the aluminum (and _maybe_ the silicone tubing) and you're getting the tool for free here! ;)Price felt reasonable for the amount and that it was delivered straight to my door! (Now if only they delivered is straight to my window...! :P)

This is a wonderful kit for putting together a replacement screen in a hurry! The aluminum frame sections, connectors, spline, spline tool, and anchoring tabs are included. The mesh screen will need to be supplied by the purchaser -- but I actually preferred being able to make my own choice on screening, rather than having it pre-determined for me.I got a 36" x 36" size to cut down for 35" x 35" window openings. Making the size adjustment was easy, and the instructions are clear on how to put the screen together. It took me barely 1/2 hour -- and that was with stopping to make a cup of coffee.The screen, once created, is sturdy, and attractive. I'd say almost nicer looking than my original window screen. I couldn't be more pleased with how simple & straight-forward this DIY home repair turned out!

This FIFIFO 4 Sets Window Screen Frame Kit is the perfect solution for me. We bought our home and four of the upstairs windows or missing screens. At the time we just bought a couple of those little half screens but they don't work so well in keeping bugs and leaves out. This screen frame kit is exactly the size I need it for my windows. It is very easy to assemble and they went in perfectly and keep the leaves and the bugs out. This window screen frame kit includes everything needed to build 2 new frames for your window screen, except the screen itself, you have to supply that. It does include the spline and a spline tool. Not all kits I've purchased in the past include a tool, so this is a plus. The frame is made of aluminum and if you need to cut it to size you'll have to provide your own saw. Instructions are included. All of the parts are of good quality.Other 2 frame kits are made of aluminum and are more complete, including the screen, a cutter, a tape measure and a spline tool in the kit and are about 1/2 the price.

This window screen frame kit was a great value and made my screen repair project much easier than I expected. The frame pieces were straight, easy to cut to the exact size I needed, and all the included hardware fit together perfectly. Everything feels sturdy once assembled, and the finished screens look just as good as the originals.I also appreciated that the kit came with the spline roller, which saved me from buying extra tools. Installation was straightforward, even for someone who doesn't build window screens very often.If you need to repair or build new window screens, this kit has everything you need to get professional-looking results. I'd definitely buy it again for future projects.

This is a very nice set with all the hardware you need to install your screen (screen material not included) and it came well packaged. I love the window screen corners with the built in pull tab. All the old window screens have the small tabs that are rolled in with the screen spline. Which either breaks after a few years or just pull out when you go to use them. These are solid and should outlive the window screen.
