These cordless metal shears are powerful and very convenient to use. They cut sheet metal smoothly and require much less effort than manual snips. I find manual cutters a bit of a chore to use sometimes. This cordless metal cutter is great for cutting longer seams. It is compatible with my dewalt battery. Overall, I felt this had enough power to cut through typical metals that a handheld cutter would also be able to do.

I already have DEWALT 20V batteries, so I specifically wanted the bare-tool version rather than paying for another battery and charger I don't need.The first thing I noticed is that this has plenty of power for normal sheet metal work. It cuts cleanly without needing a lot of pressure, and being cordless makes it much easier to use around larger pieces where dragging a cord around would just be annoying.The rotating head is probably my favorite feature. Being able to change the cutting angle makes a big difference when you're trying to follow a curve or get into an awkward position instead of twisting the entire tool and your wrist around the work.The brushless motor runs smoothly, the tool feels solid, and the controls are straightforward. I also like that the head adjustment is mechanical and stays where you put it rather than relying on something overly complicated.I used this for a metal roofing project, and it was much easier to get a clean strait cut with this than with hand snips, not to mention faster and my had never complained after cutting a 35 foot stretch of metal roofing.

Here's what I like most about QUINLECK as a brand : COMPATIBLE WITH DEWALT - I gravitate towards a Company and a tool that smartly doesn't demand that I find valuable space on top of my tool bench for a 1 battery, 1 charger, 1 tool, proprietary battery that only works for 1 thing in my life ...this helps this company also maintain lower prices ( this unit is only less than $60 )- because they don't have to supply me with a battery(s) and a charger. This means that all this tools power options are clearly within my hands ...I wish every battery tool seller followed this example ...........This is a cordless metal cutter -it is an Electric sheet metal shears with a 360 degree pivoting head .....this unit has a 2300 ROM BRUSHLESS Motor with 800 watts ...this will cut 20Gauge stainless steel -and 18 gauge sheet metal ..this will also cut :iron net /Fabric /leather/steel plate / and PVC PLASTIC ...I ordered this because I needed to repair an expensive bbq that was rusting ...I bought (4 )36"x36" pieces of sheet metal ..I needed to replace the bottom shelf -the drip pan shelf - 1 tray and I closed in an open back which I hated being open forever ...after measuring .and drawing lines -this cordless metal scissors cut all my pieces perfectly !! I made ax$1200 BBQ brand new again !
