Used in my doorway as a replacement trim piece. When first received, it was rolled up so I laid it out flat and placed a heavy board across it. It is made of a plastic material and flattened out nicely afterwards. It is darker than my actual flooring, but doesn't look bad. It has adhesive on the bottom, so no need to purchase any. Easy installation process. Cut the size needed, Peel the red plastic off, and press firmly into place. The material is heavy duty and durable.

A Simple Fix for an Awkward Floor Repair

[Size Name: 20 Feet, Color Name: Wood Grain -1]
This is my first leap into doing anything with floor transitions—peel-and-stick, metal bars, or anything else I don’t know that I don’t know! 😂 So keep that in mind. When I first opened it, I was genuinely confused about what I was looking at. The wood grain is very light, and I honestly didn’t recognize it as a wood-look finish at first. I personally despise dark wood, but this is almost a little too light for my taste. Thankfully, it is paintable, so that gives us options. My partner inherited a used camper with a huge split in the kitchen linoleum that had previously been stapled down. I suggested trying this, and he was willing to give it a shot. He did the installation and said it was easy to cut. Since it was a very warm day and the camper was hot, the material was also fairly easy to shape around the contours of the damaged area.He liked the peel-and-stick concept and thinks it should work well for our purposes, although he does have some questions about how well the adhesive will hold up in high-traffic or humid areas. Considering he works as a school janitor, I thought that was worth mentioning. For us, so far, so good. Even with the extreme heat the camper experiences, we haven't had any problems with the adhesive becoming gooey or causing the trim to slide around.Time will tell how it holds up long-term, but so far it has been an easy, affordable way to cover up what was definitely an ugly problem!

Easy to use and looks great

[Size Name: 20 Feet, Color Name: Wood Grain -2]
This floor trim is very good. It's very easy to work with. But be aware, proper prep work is essential for products like this. A surface cleaned well with rubbing alcohol will usually ensure a good result. For me this felt very well stuck down with minimal effort. The color is as advertised. The wood gain look it nice as well. This product would be great for creating a room separation, for softening an edge between different surfaces or even on a wall to create a transition.Overall this is a great product and a very good value. I highly recommend

Okay, to be fair, we're not using these the way they're meant to be used, which is as a threshold or transition strip for vinyl flooring. So in terms of quality, I'm giving it all the stars. It's thick plastic and comes with a shrink wrap cover you peel off to protect the finish during shipping, plus a decently strong glue strip on either side that you peel before applying. It feels well made for what it is.Here's our situation. We were trying to seal down where carpet meets tile to keep our Roomba from getting stuck at the seam. We plan to put in wood floors eventually, but until then we just needed to hold that carpet edge down. For that use, it grips the carpet surprisingly well, though not as much to the tile, and I think that's a height difference thing more than a glue problem. It also doesn't really look like wood, the grain pattern is faint and the surface is super glossy. But it gets the job done for us, and the Roomba is happier. If you're using it as actually intended on vinyl, I'd expect it to work even better.

So Much Easier Than Replacing My Original Transition Pieces

[Size Name: 20 Feet, Color Name: Wood Grain -2]
This was perfect for what I needed. While moving into my house, I accidentally ripped the top off one threshold transition piece and completely pulled up another one in a different room. My original trim was basically a wood board covered in vinyl, so I thought I was going to have to buy wood, have it cut, and recreate the whole thing.I'm SO glad I found this instead. The peel-and-stick installation made the repair incredibly easy, and the vinyl was simple to cut to the exact length I needed. It saved me a lot of extra work.It looks great once installed too. Honestly, the wood grain matches my flooring even better than the original transition pieces did!Easy to cut, easy to install, and a great-looking solution for damaged or missing floor transitions. Exactly what I needed.

Easy Solution

[Size Name: 4 Feet, Color Name: Wood Grain -2]
This looks like an easy inexpensive threshold solution. The wood grain embossing is decent looking. There are no instructions which would seem unnecessary. It's simple peel and stick but I still have a question about a clear plastic strip on the surface. It isn't clear to me whether it is just protective for shipping or is actually integral to the product. I think it'll be very good for joining sheet vinyl seams at doorways.

It’s nice that it comes with an adhesive backing but it doesn’t have the best adhesion. The adhesive tape is depressed on the inside of the strip so it doesn’t really want to stick to the floor very well. I will probably have to use some caulking to adhere it to the floor properly. It is mostly stuck in place out but I have had to step on one side of the strip that keeps popping up to get it to stay stuck on the floor. It’s fairly easy to cut the strips to size with some kitchen scissors and remember to peel off the protective clear plastic layer before installing. I had a little trouble with that too. I accidentally started peeling the woodgrain print off of the strip along with the plastic coating. You have to be careful to separate the two first. But after peeling it off I noticed how shiny the strip is. Personally I don’t like how shiny it is. I’d rather it be more of a matte appearance.Overall I can make them work for now but I have a feeling I may change them out at some point in the future.

Adhesive is not very strong.Adhesive is not very strong.

[Size Name: 10 Feet, Color Name: Black, Size Name: 10 Feet, Color Name: Black]
The adhesive on these is not very strong, but the strips seem well-made otherwise. I like that the finish is matte rather than shiny. These should work well if the flooring in both rooms is the same height. In my situation, however, the two floors are slightly different heights, so I’m not sure how well they will hold up. Because the adhesive is weaker than I expected, I think I’ll have to find another option.I ordered 10 feet for $20. While $20 certainly isn’t a lot of money, I still think the price is a bit high for what you get. Overall, these are okay for specific situations, but I wouldn’t consider them an excellent value.
