Installation Challenged Me, But They Work Great

[Size: 18 Inch Drawer Slide, Number of Items: 1]
I can't personally say these were simple or easy to install, but I honestly think that was more of a me problem than an issue with the hardware at all. I don't have experience installing drawer slides, so it took me some trial and error to get everything positioned correctly.Once I finally had them installed properly, though, they worked great! The drawer slides smoothly, extends nicely, and the soft-close feature works exactly as it should. The hardware itself feels sturdy and everything functions well now that it's in place. If you know what you're doing, installation will probably be much easier for you than it was for me. Either way, I'm very pleased with the finished result!

These are really heavy duty full extension drawer slide. Instead of drawer being only supported from screws on the sides, the drawer rides on top of assembly. These can be mounted in a cabinet with sides or with read support. Rear support is adjustable to level the slides.I found the slides to perform really well and these will be perfect to hold small tools such as drill bits in shop with a 1/4" plywood drawer bottom. I can actually build the drawer to suit my needs as this removes limitations. This will be able to handle 100 lbs in full extension. The soft close feature and the slides come very well lubricated.Full extension slide are expensive. Those with these kind of weight numbers even more. I was very pleased by the pricing of these slides. I am very satisfied by this purchase. Allowing me to see all my drill bits in one viewing helps me in my selecting the right one.

OXRAIL 21 Inch soft close undermount drawer slides

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆As an Amazon Vine Voice, I received this product at no cost through the Amazon Vine program to provide an honest, unbiased review. I am not paid or compensated by the seller or Amazon, and all opinions expressed here are completely my own. This 4☆ review is for the OXRAIL 21 Inch soft close undermount drawer slides, which was $44.99 at the time of my order. I needed a pair of drawer slides for a pull-out in my shed so I picked this brand to give them a try. Everything installed the way they should with all the parts coming with the slides. The drawer attachment parts are not very robust but only time will tell how durable they really are. Once I push the drawer part way in, the slides take over & pull the drawer the rest of the in. Slowly & quietly, the way they are meant to operate. The slides will hold up to 100lbs per pair which is a heavy load for a drawer. So far these are good drawer slides. For the price paid you are getting a great value for your money.

Very well made and strong undermount slides but glad I listened to reviews on sizingVery well mad...

These are well made slides and I’m so happy I got them. I purchased the 18” size. Please note that I am glad I read the reviews as another Vine member showed that the listed size doesn’t include the mounting bracket and the latch in the front. I am very grateful that this reviewer stated this so I knew to order the correct size. The slides attached well to the bottom of our face frame cabinet and to the slide out drawer box I constructed to work with these. I like that they fully extend so there is no need to reach back into the cabinet opening….the entire drawer tray is out and easy to access the contents. Because of this, they take up a bit more vertical room than a short extension type slide. Smooth operation and the soft close feature works great to prevent slam sounds and pulls in the drawer tray smoothly.

Heavy-Duty, Smooth Glides That Handle Serious Weight

[Size: 21 Inch Drawer Slide, Number of Items: 1]
These are excellent quality undermount drawer slides. They feel substantial and heavy-duty, and the zinc-plated steel construction seems well suited for something that needs to support a significant amount of weight. The full-extension design gives complete access to the drawer, and the soft-close action is smooth and quiet.Installation is fairly straightforward if you're already familiar with this style of undermount glide. I initially thought my installation would be quick and simple, but it ended up taking a little longer than anticipated purely because of the location and somewhat unusual type of installation I was doing, rather than any issue with the slides themselves. The set includes the rear mounting brackets (which I removed altogether), locking devices, and screws, which was convenient.Once everything was installed and adjusted, they worked exactly as expected. I'm using them to support a very heavy laser printer, and even with that weight they extend and retract smoothly and feel very solid. The 100-lb weight rating was one of the reasons I chose these, and so far they seem perfectly capable of handling a demanding application. They were about $30 for the set when I ordered them, which I felt was a reasonable price for the quality and load capacity. I've noticed the price has gone up since then, though, and personally I'm not sure I would pay much more than $30 for a single set.Overall, very pleased with the construction, smooth operation, and strength of these slides.

Strong and sturdy but rear mount instructions onlyStrong and sturdy but rear mount instructions only

This is a solid pair of drawer slides. Very heavy duty and somewhat heavy in weight (4 lbs 14 oz; not for a thin-framed or flimsy cabinet. These will be used for a large drawer under a workbench, and I'm confident they will support screws, nails, blades and small power tools.Given the rail length and rear mount, the drawer and back of the cabinet will be built to ensure the slide will work. If the cabinet was already completed, I don't know if the standard rail lengths would fit with the rear mount. I didn't see instructions for side mounting, so that's my only concern for someone with an existing cabinet.

Strong, well-constructed undermount soft-close drawer slides

[Size: 21 Inch Drawer Slide, Number of Items: 1]
We have a custom built-in full height pantry cabinet in our kitchen, which is great for storage. The side-mounts on the bottom drawer are failing however, and the drawer is constantly slipping off its rails, making it extremely difficult to open and close the drawer. It's frustrating (and often swear-inducing) every time I try to get to the baking items stored in this drawer. Replacing the existing side-mounted slides on this drawer with undermount ones has been on our "to do" list for several years, but it hasn't been a priority. As soon as I saw these drawer slides, I leapt to order them - I'm done putting off replacing the side-mounted slides, and I'm tired of being tested every time I'm trying to get to the brown sugar or confectioner's sugar canisters. I love the fact that these are soft close, unlike the other drawer slides in our pantry. The slides arrived well-packaged, with comprehensive instructions and all hardware included. The slides support up to 100 lbs., which is important (I believe part of the reason that the current slides have failed is that the weight of the drawer exceeded their capacity). There's no need for a center support rail (the current slides have a plastic support/guide rail mounted on the underside of the drawer). I tested the mechanism, and it is as promised - these glide smoothly, and the soft close function works well. These are high-quality slides, well-constructed and solid; I think it's fairly unlikely that the metal will warp or dent. I'm excited to install them this weekend and cross this project off the list. At $29.99 for one set of 21" slides at the time of this writing, the price is reasonable, especially considering the quality of these slides.

Well designed and builtWell designed and built

I've been itching to try a retrofit of drawer slides for quite some time so I jumped on the opportunity to try the Oxrail undermount product. I purchased the smaller 18" glides with hopes they would fit my 19" filing cabinet. Spoiler alert: The glides are around 20" when you include the mounting bracket and the front latch assembly. Even after shortening the glide with a grinder I couldn't get it fit due to the lower cabinet construction.I learned a lot about installing these beasts. The first issue was the measurements are all metric. It was easy enough to use an online metric to inch conversion site. The next issue was my tape measures do not have metric readings and I don't have metric drill bits. It all worked out - I made a table of all of the converted measurements. It turns out a 5/16" drill bit was close enough for the mounting bracket holes. The other hole diameters were also easy to match. The glides are very well designed and assembled. They are sturdy, even when extended the full length and they glide nicely. I've included some pics of the innards, a full length picture and an extended picture where it reaches 36".I don't have pictures of the installation because It didn't work on my tiny file cabinet. It would easily have worked on the top drawer but the cabinet would tip over if the top drawer were fully extended and loaded. The bottom drawer was impeded by corner blocks that keep the structure rigid.I really like these glides and will be watching for a new installation application!
