I don't think I've ever seen a utility pouch made from genuine leather. But here it is, brought to you by the REFERTRY store. And to be clear, the material is indeed genuine leather. Excellent quality to boot. It's soft and supple, easy to work with. Yet durable as one would expect for leather.✅ All the stitching is correct, using heavy-weight thread and a high thread count (i.e. stitches/unit length) for added strength. Generally speaking, these pouches have been skillfully assembled.✅ The design features a true bottom (1.5-inches wide) with gusset walls. This opens up the interior to take full advantage of the dimensions. As a result, you'll find that these pouches hold much more than you might expect given the 10-inch medium size.✅ The bottom panel is thicker than the walls, giving the bag added support for standing upright. In addition, the interior surface of the bottom panel has a smooth protective layer.✅ It’s been my experience that the zipper is an often overlooked element in the design and build of a utility pouch. Fortunately, that’s NOT the case with this brand. The zipper is both heavy-duty & excellent quality. Pulling on the slider body opens and closes the teeth with a smooth, decisive action. No catching the tape or fabric along the sides, or hesitation because the teeth don’t mesh. Overall, it’s a durable mechanism that will easily survive the service life of the pouch.✅ The pouches are advertised to have a water-repellent outer surface. And they do. I verified this by drizzling water onto the outer surface, and letting it sit for 5min. Not only did the water bead, but it showed no sign of absorption after the 5min dwell. These pouches should work very well for outdoor applications.✅ Of course, VERSATILITY is synonymous with utility pouches. And these pouches are no different. For example, I plan on using them to store a variety of electronic devices, cables & accessories. What about tools? That too, but with an asterisk. See my next comment.❗️I would avoid storing tools that are soiled with grease or other moist contaminants that would likely transfer to the soft flesh side of the leather (i.e. the lining of the interior compartment). Storing items that are wet would be another bad idea. Which leads me to the one design weakness…NO LINER. Indeed, the absence of a durable, water-resistant liner creates a potential problem for certain applications. Items that are heavily soiled, greasy, or wet are incompatible with the natural porosity of leather. And if the lining becomes contaminated, the end result could compromise the integrity of the leather.⚠️ Needless to say, if I was to suggest one improvement in the design, it would be to add a durable, water-resistant lining. This would enhance both the durability and versatility of the product. Especially for applications that might involve exposure to moisture. Still, I mention this as a “nice-to-have” rather than a “must-have” feature.👍 RECOMMENDATION 👍This is one of the better utility pouches that I’ve used. The leather build is certainly unique, and makes the product standout amongst the competition. Especially given the price point. Currently selling for only $15.99, this 2-pack is a good value. However, they may not be the best choice for certain applications. Mostly because of the absence of a durable liner. No matter, I still really like these pouches, and happy to give my recommendation with an enthusiastic 5-star rating.

This is an excellent set of tool bags.They are really well constructed. They are genuine leather and they feel like they will last for a very long time.The zippers work well and each bag has a carabiner attached so you can connect it to a backpack, purse, suitcase or to each other. The bottoms are reinforced. The leather is soft and supple, they feel so nice.I ordered them for my husband for tools but now they are here and I see how nice they are and how nice they look and I think I may them for myself. They will make nice organizers for specialty craft supplies. I’m thinking my soldering iron and accessories will be nice in the larger one, my glass cutting supplies in the middle size and maybe rubber stamp carving tools in the small one.

The zippers operate smoothly, and each bag has a side loop with an included carabiner clip. I also love the gray-and-black two-tone design. The stitching is even and well finished on all three bags.Although these are marketed as tool bags, they are versatile enough for many different uses. I plan to use them for my husband’s golf snacks. We live in Florida, and any unattended snacks can quickly be stolen by the birds on the course! The large bag is roomy enough to hold a peanut butter sandwich, a cut-up apple, a bottle of water, and some trail mix for an 18-hole round. When he needs fewer snacks, the medium or small bag will work perfectly.They could also be used for small tools, golf accessories, charging cords, electronic accessories, craft supplies, toiletries, first-aid items, bicycle repair supplies, sewing notions, small hardware, grilling accessories, or pet supplies.At the time I received this three-pack, it was priced at $19, which works out to approximately $6.33 per bag.
