Very convenient replacement mechanism. As a licensed electrician I swap these pool timer mechanisms fairly often and this one was an exact fit, dropped right into the existing box with no issues at all. Lined up perfect with the terminals so wiring it back up was quick.Nice heavy duty 40 amp rating too, which is what you want for a pool pump load.Big time and money saver going with just the mechanism instead of buying a whole new timer box when the guts are all thats worn out. The gears feel solid, not flimsy.Exact replacement, works like it should, easy swap. Would recommend if you got a T101 box that needs new life.

This device is a convenient way to replace the “works” of your pool timer without replacing the entire box, which simplifies and hastens the repair. It is very easy to swap out by disconnecting a few wires and pressing a release button in the upper left hand corner that locks the mechanism in place. Youtube videos are available online to help. There are digital versions of pool timers with clock displays and battery backup that are accurate to the second and don’t require attaching physical trip switches like this timer uses. I would probably go that route on a brand new installation. The ease of repair for the timer I already own is why I chose to order this analog mechanism. My pool timer runs like new again. It is accurate enough for my purposes although a power outage requires resetting the time.

I got this T104M Pool Timer Mechanism Only, 208-277V 40A DPST Mechanical Time Switch Replacement to replace the one that died on us for our pool pump and salt water generator. The fit was basically the exact same and installation was easy since I was familiar with it and just pulled the old one out. This is just the guts so no need to replace the housing which makes the install a lot easier as well. Of course, you are dealing with very high voltage so double check the power is shut off and no power is going to the timer's wiring. If you aren't comfortable have a professional come out.The timer's ability to keep time has been spot on for the past few weeks and haven't had any issue with its reliability so far. I think it is a good value for what you get compared to OEM. Overall, I am happy with this timer.
