Perfect lights for the upcoming Holidays or for adding some ambiance to a space. I have not fully finished hanging them up, but we did plug themIn and test them out. They are very neat. I had some Christmas lights like this before that had a lot of programs like Govee but they were not Bluetooth. These being Bluetooth and WiFi app controlled make them so much more convenient. You can control it with Alexa or google home. You could set them up on a schedule so they only come on when it’s dark. Having the ability to change them to whatever color you want is great. I plan to leave them up year around just have them warm yellow during most of the year and change it for holidays. They are easy to install and get set up with the app. Overall I recommend these for both Holidays and just decorating your outdoor space. I think eventually we will get a pergola from Costco for our back porch and I will hang them around it. For now I’m going to put it on the overhang of our roof on the back porch.

These are a major upgrade from ordinary C9 Christmas lights. The clear, textured bulbs have a sparkling appearance even when the lights are off, and they diffuse the colors beautifully once illuminated. The colors are bright and vivid, while the dedicated white LEDs produce a much cleaner white than the mixed RGB white found on many cheaper string lights.Setup through the Govee Home app was straightforward, and the amount of customization is impressive. There are plenty of preset scenes, music modes, schedules, and color combinations, but it is also possible to create your own effects. Matter support and voice control make it easy to include the lights in an existing smart-home setup without having to rely on the physical control button.Although they have a traditional Christmas-light shape, they are versatile enough to leave up throughout the year. The colors and effects can easily be changed for Halloween, the Fourth of July, parties, or simple patio lighting. The long lead cord also makes outdoor placement much easier when the outlet is not directly beside the display area.The lights and cabling feel sturdy and well made. The strand is weather resistant, although the power adapter should still be kept protected from direct exposure to rain. My only minor concern is that the individual bulbs do not appear to be replaceable, and these are considerably more expensive than basic string lights.Overall, the excellent brightness, attractive bulb design, smart controls, and year-round versatility make these worth the premium price. They look great and offer far more creative options than a standard set of holiday lights.

I've been wanting Govee string lights for my patio for a while, so I grabbed these when they popped up. I already have a lot of Govee products in my smart home, and I've been very happy with the quality of their lineup. These C9 lights definitely did not disappoint and look great once installed.I had them up on my patio in about 30 minutes. It probably would have been quicker, but I was limited on where I could attach them with zip ties, so some of that time was spent figuring out the best placement. Once they were mounted, getting them connected was about as simple as it gets. It took roughly a minute to have them running and controllable through Alexa.The lights are super bright and do a great job lighting up the patio area. There are a ton of different modes and effects available, although I usually just leave them on whichever color I happen to be feeling at the moment. Having all those options is still nice when I want to change things up, and the smart controls make that convenient.At $119.99, these are not the cheapest string lights, but I think they offer good value if you want bright, smart lights with easy Alexa control and plenty of customization. The straightforward setup and strong performance make them worth it to me. If you've been thinking about adding string lights to your home, I highly recommend these.

These are premium and fully compatible with the newest AI driven lighting effects… Govee is such an innovative and strong brand in outdoor lighting. It is always a pleasure working with their products, and these C9 string lights are another excellent example of why.One of the best things about these lights is just how versatile they are. When turned off, the faceted bulbs are crystal clear (see photos). Once illuminated, however, they can be changed to virtually any color or combination of colors. That makes them useful for far more than Christmas. You can set them for Halloween, St. Patrick’s Day, Fourth of July, parties, or just use warm white lighting for an attractive backyard setting.What’s more, using the new AI features in their app, you can let AI drive your show! “Create an ocean inspired show” and you get rippling waves in blues with waves of foamy white colors rolling through! “Show me Americana” and your red white and blue theme becomes spectacular! All those long frustrating programming hours are a thing of the past!There are several ways to control them. A small control box is attached to the string with a switch basic on/off operation (defaults to a nice basic color changing show). The Govee Home app gives you much more sophisticated control over colors, effects, schedules, music synchronization, and the many preset scenes.They also support “Matter”, which means they can be integrated into compatible smart-home systems such as Alexa, Google Home, Apple Home Kit, and other Matter-based setups. How cool is that?The packaging and presentation are excellent, and Govee even includes plenty of zip ties to help with installation. I can see these dangling around a patio umbrella, stretched across a backyard as bistro-style lighting, lining a fence, or being used as traditional holiday home lights.Construction quality is excellent. The clear plastic bulbs feel substantial rather than brittle, and the faceted crystalline design does a nice job diffusing and reflecting the light. The lights and control box carry a weather-resistance rating, which is needed for outdoor use (although Govee recommends keeping the power adapter protected inside an electrical box).These are definitely a more premium version of traditional C9 string lights, but you are getting considerably more versatility and smart-home capability in return. If you want attractive premium string lighting that can stay up and be reinvented for different holidays and occasions throughout the year, these are an excellent choice.Highly recommended.

WOW! I am really stoked about how gorgeous these "holiday" lights are. Each light has a Christmas light shape look to it, about the size of a larger (average house trim) Christmas light, not the small tree bulbs. The bulbs are a clear and clean looking plastic with a texture that really makes these look like crystalized ice, giving each bulb a marvelous sparkle effect when color is lit. Very eye catching and simply stunning.I have seen some Govee products in action before and had the opportunity to setup and try some of their smart lights and devices and I must say that their products to me are some of the best in the smart device realm. Very easy to setup and get going. These lights were easy to setup with the Govee Home app, and pairing with Alexa is possible with the Govee skill for Alexa.Once you have these plugged in, there is a default rainbow "flow". It's probably a good idea to plug these in before you set them up in their permanent location to test them. Everything worked well out of the box and they lit up with a tremendously hypnotizing rainbow flow of colors. They were a beautiful cluster of lights that were amazing.The app was simple to setup and pair with my home WiFi connection (in range). Simply add a device in the Govee Home app. My Android phone seen this immediately once the lights were plugged in and prompted to connect. Which I clicked "Add" and hit some errors. I had success via the Govee Home app by adding a device and scanning the small QR code that is attached to the inline attached power button / control box. I suggest leaving this tag on!Once you get into the Govee Home app, you will see your Govee devices listed. You will be able to tap on the "C9 String Lights" and it will take you to the controls to setup your string lights. This app is very robust with many presets and features to customize your lights the way you like them. I am very impressed how robust and capable this app is with what you can do with these lights. There are many fine tuning color options, animations, themes, and ways to "paint" your desired patterns. I must say that I have barely scratched the surface on this app and what you can actually do with these lights in terms of effects. I'm impressed!The IP67 "Waterproof" rating on these lights means that I will be putting these up around the home for Christmas, Halloween, and quite frankly I will be keeping them up year-round ... yes, with these I will be that type of person who keeps Christmas lights up all year. Normally I wouldn't! But these are so versatile that they can fit regular light use, patio lighting, holidays etc.There is ONE thing that I can say that I might worry about, and that is if one of these bulbs became defective. There seems to be no way to change out a single bulb. But on the "bright side" (no pun intended), I think these are very well made, and LED's tend to last quite a long time. Let's hope these will last a long time! I'm confident they will.Overall these are simply stunning, and a great option for anyone who wants full control of "mood lighting" in the form of string lights.
