These utility knives feel solid and well made, especially for the price. The rubber grip makes them comfortable to hold and helps keep the knife from slipping while cutting. I also like the retractable design and the auto-lock feature, which makes adjusting the blade length quick and convenient. The snap-off blades are sharp and work well for everyday tasks such as opening boxes, cutting cardboard, trimming materials, and various home improvement or craft projects. Having two knives in the pack is also convenient—I can keep them in separate locations at home. I don't always open my packages at the same room. The fact that the blades can just be snapped off when dull means I don't have to remember where I keep my extra blades. All I have to do is snap the dull bladed section off and continue what I was doing. I don't have to get up and search for extra blades. It's very convenient to use and easy to store.

These have become my new go to knives. I use them for opening pakages but also taking the plastic wrap off recyclable bottles/containers. The knives are a nice weight and good quality. I was afraid they would have a cheap feel to them.I have to admit I'm a bit concerned about the snap off blades, The other box cutter knives I have use special blades that are replaced rather than snapped off. These blades are a bit cheaper and thinner by nature.The only issue I have experienced with them is when opening a box. The space for the blade was so tight that it actually started pulling out of the handle. This is something I have never experienced before. I think the locking mechanism of this knife is not as sturdy as other knives.I did like the storage of other blades in the handle. Because the blades are thinner, the handle is able to store more. The fact that they are snap off blades means that each blade also has more lives than most.My only concern is about snapping off the blade as I have never done it before.

I am extremely impressed with these utility knives. This is not your typical average box cutter with a lightweight plastic body and a blade that rattles around inside the handle.The moment I picked one up and slid the blade forward, I could feel the difference. The construction feels substantial, the mechanism feels tight and precise, and the entire knife has an almost overbuilt quality to it.The best comparison I can make is that this feels like the Porsche of utility knives. Everything just feels more refined.The two-pack arrives nicely presented, with one blade already installed in each knife along with five spare SK2 blades for each. The blade slides forward smoothly using the large locking lever, and you can expose just a small amount for opening boxes or extend it much farther for heavier cutting jobs. Once positioned, the blade locks securely and feels very solid during use.I also really like the handle. It has some weight to it, fits comfortably in the hand, and the black rubberized sections provide an excellent grip. We have utility knives scattered everywhere around our house—in drawers, cabinets, the garage and workshop—and after using these, most of the others suddenly feel like a massive downgrade.Another excellent feature is the built-in snap-off blade system. When a section becomes dull, the removable tail piece doubles as the tool for safely snapping off the old segment and exposing a fresh cutting edge. The rear compartment also provides quick access to the spare blades, so everything you need is built right into the knife.My only minor complaint is the bright yellow color. I would love to see these offered in a few additional colors because I would seriously consider replacing most of our existing utility knives with these. They are that good.Words really do not convey how much better these feel compared with the typical utility knife. You almost have to put one in your hand, move the blade mechanism and make a few cuts to appreciate the difference.At roughly $18 for the pair—or around $16 with the current coupon—this is a fantastic value for this level of quality. The blade is just as sharp and as strong as the heavy duty blades in a standard, high quality utility razor knife such as the Stanley equivalent. Has a comfortable and secure grip that won't slide in your hand. Break off blades such as this enable much quicker blade replacement compared to a traditional utility knife that requires you to use a screw driver to unscrew the handle to access replacement blades.The black handle end doubles as a tool to use to snap off a dull blade. I found this plastic tool to be too small to provide enough leverage and the plastic didn't feel heavy enough to make me believe that it would survive prying off more than a few dull ends. The small size also required me to get my fingers too close to the blade being snapped off & the glossy plastic was possibly slipper which made me very uncomfortable using the blade change procedure in the instructions. I believe that using the tool to snap off a dull blades is very risky. I used pliers which made snapping off the dull end very quick and easy and clearly much safer.

The knife is easy to hold. Slightly poor finish on the black rubber, can see the mold line. The housing is plastic, but has a metal channel for the blade, so it feels sturdy during use.The only real issue is that the auto-lock mechanism is nonexistent – It only seems to be “locked” when you are using the blade to cut cardboard boxes, such that it doesn’t automatically extend or retract. You cannot manually lock it in place – there is no protection against a child opening it and harming himself accidentally, for instance.In all, a good product with multiple replacement blades. The only concern is a lack of locking safety mechanism especially as the description of “auto-lock” seems a bit misleading.

At first I wasn't sure how well these would be or even worth the price but I was impressed after we received them. I thought they would be cheap, flimsy plastic holding the blades but I was wrong. These are better quality than they actually appear.This comes with two of the utility knives which helps justify the price better for me. The handle is very solid and well made. It is smooth, thick plastic and better quality than you would expect. Using the knife is super quick and easy for me. I store it in our kitchen utility drawer and use it to help break down boxes. So for me it is fast to just push up the blade, slice the tape on the boxes and then pull the blade back in safely. It takes me no time at all.There are safety features to this with a lock features which I appreciate so I don't have to worry too much with my grandkids.The blades are nice and sharp and do the job very well. They have a break off seam which will come in handy. This also comes with extra blades so we appreciated that.Overall, for the good quality of the utility knife and it coming with 2 we felt like the price matched and it was a good deal.

I like this utility knife. It ships in a two-pack, each with one blade installed, and five spare blades. If I were a with a moving company or a stocking shelves for grocery chain, packing and unpacking boxes all day, this is the knife I would choose. Because it retracts, It will store safely in a kitchen drawer, tool box, or a pants pocket.The knife is easy to use. Simply slide the locking lever forward to expose as much blade as needed, from about 1/8" to about 3 1/2". This type of knife uses a snap-away blade so dull tips can be discarded without a complete blade change.The handle feels good in the hand, and is large enough to apply pressure with. With the blade extended, I banged on the butt of the knife with my hand to drive it into a wood block, and the blade held in place. Hammering on or with this tool would likely cause damage.I like that the handle houses a metal slide core to fully protect the blades, not relying on the outer plastic to protect against wear or for safety. Extra blades are stored in a separate compartment beside the blade slide. The black plastic butt of the grip has a slot to break the tips away.Having used this type of knife to open boxes and packaging, I fully appreciate that the blade easily can be extended out as little as 1/8" from the metal slide to protect package contents. This is better than the widely used metal handled utility knives which click out to nearly an inch and which do not allow a tiny tip to be easily exposed.The plastic of the handle is smooth yellow plastic of a type not generally found in many modern power tools, while the utility of the knife is exceptional. The black slide on the left side used to extend the blade appears to be ABS. A single plastic stud on the slide holds the blade in place. Blade changes are simple and intuitive.Lefties, note the slide is on the left side.Overall, this appears to be a good quality tool. I would recommend it to DIYers, homeowners, and professionals. At this price point, with the metal core and the extra blade storage, I believe it is a competitive value.
