I have purchased KES bathroom hardware before—faucets, shower fixtures and similar items for 3 bathrooms in my SoCal home—and over the years I have been very satisfied with the price/quality/durability equation they offer. That previous experience was one of the reasons I was comfortable ordering this towel rack.For now, however, this can only be a **qualitative review**. The rack is destined for the tiled bathroom of my little home in another country, and I will not be there to install it until October.What I can evaluate now—and, lacking humility, I will say from a reasonably competent platform—is the construction and design. The rack feels substantial, the stainless steel bar looks well made, and the vacuum-cup system appears to have been engineered rather than simply attached as an afterthought. The reinforcing rib, bowl-frame support and especially the adjustable suction bases all make sense. Being able to move the bases to avoid grout lines is particularly important because a suction cup sitting partly on grout is already negotiating the terms of its surrender.The 32-inch size also gives a useful 26.9 inches of hanging space, with enough clearance from the wall to help a wet towel dry rather than cling lovingly to the tile.The big question, of course, is the vacuum system. KES claims up to 22 pounds of holding capacity on a suitable smooth surface, and the TPE cups are designed to remain flexible over time. Some Vine reviewers have reported very solid attachment once the cups were installed correctly—apparently the reassuring **“pop”** matters—while others experienced slipping after a day. That does not surprise me. Suction devices and tile surfaces can have complicated relationships.My own tiles are smooth-looking but, like many tiles, somewhat porous. Whether this rack stays attached for many days or decides after a few hours that gravity has made a more convincing argument will therefore be discovered only in October.I am also taking some comfort from the positive evaluations of Japanese Vine reviewers. In my experience they tend to be rather meticulous about this sort of thing—sometimes more on point than some of us.Unfortunately, I cannot stop reviewing things until October or Vine will get mad at me.So, based on what I can actually judge today—the materials, construction, design and my previous experience with KES. 5 stars for now. The wall will eventually have the final vote.

We recently moved into an apartment which needed more bath towel hangers in the bathroom. Since we are just renting, we didn't want to modify the walls or permanently attach anything.This suction-based towel bar is working perfectly on the outside of our glass shower wall.Likes:- Easy to install. Do the suction cup first, then screw the metal covers until they are snug against the surface.- Holds large / heavy towels without any issues. Ours has been up for two weeks and hasn't moved at all. The durability is pretty good.- Nice stainless steel finish looks good and is easy to clean.- Available in different lengths to fit your mounting surface.- Allows us to add more towel bars without risking our rental deposit at all, since they leave no trace once removed.No complaints so far. This is working great in our bathroom.

I am happy with this suction cup towel rack for my shower stall. The assembling took less than 5 minutes. Simply use the provided Allen wrench to secure two set screws. Clean and dry the area to be attached and press the put-together bar assembly against the wall. However, one suction did come loose twice within a day. I guess that I did not press hard enough (till you hear a “pop”).I love the simple and clean look of the stainless bar. It is perfect to be installed inside the shower stall for hanging bath sponges, a washcloth and a bar soap in a mesh bag. The stainless parts would not rust easily. The suction cups are strong enough for my application. Keep in mind though, if you are an elderly person and are looking for an aid for stability, this is not the right product.

When I installed this Suction Cup Towel Bar by KES, I wasn't sure I got it right because the best sound I could get was a 'Pffft' sound(you know like a tire or a bum releasing pressure)... turns out it wasn't right because it wasn't long before one side was slipping. I re-tried it, same sound and same thing, but then I called in the muscles in the house and I distinctively heard a 'Pop' sound - it hasn't moved since! Solid, sturdy and strong. UPDATE... unfortunately it has slipped again after 24 hours, so I am not sure if I have a defective one - or I did something wrong? I have tried placing it in several higher areas in my bath.This is indeed a heavy fixture so I am certain there is no plastic hidden underneath! Wow! It looks great and is an excellent addition to my bathroom. **I would offer a caution with where it is installed however: If it is placed lower(like a grab-bar), it could easily be confused and grabbed at for safety and that is not what this is intended for.**This is made with high quality brushed stainless steel and is manufactured with precision... I also greatly appreciate that the suction cup plastic covers are recyclable!
