The black and walnut combination is modern but still has a warm look that goes really well with my outdoor furniture.It runs quietly and gives off a really good breeze. I wanted a ceiling fan for the patio, and wet rated was non-negotiable. There are plenty of fans described as “outdoor” that are meant for a covered porch where they will never see more than humidity. This one is built for actual outdoor exposure.The 42-inch size works well on a patio where I want airflow without a huge fan visually taking over the ceiling. It has three simple black ABS blades and no light kit, which I prefer here because I already have patio lighting and wanted the fan to stay visually quiet.Airflow is good, especially on the higher settings. There are six speeds, so I do not have to choose between barely moving air and full hurricane. Lower speeds are nice when we are sitting outside eating, while the upper range makes a noticeable difference on a hot day.The DC motor is also impressively quiet. I do not want to sit outside listening to a fan motor hum over conversation.Everything is controlled from the remote, including speed, reverse, and the 1, 4, or 8-hour timer. The timer is useful when we are outside in the evening because I do not have to remember to turn the fan off before bed.Two downrods are included, 4.5 inches and 12 inches. That gives some flexibility depending on ceiling height, although I wanted mine tucked up as high as practical.If you are adding a fan to a patio, look for the wet rating before anything else. Pretty features mean nothing if the fan is not built for the environment. This gives me the airflow I wanted without turning the patio ceiling into a big mechanical focal point.

Received the 42" Wingbo fan in the color black. Color is as shown. The three blade design in not only attractive it provides efficiency to electric usage. A five blade fan with use more electric consumption and provide the same amount of air flow I have found out and read about. This fan circulates the 10 X12 room it is in very nicely. Comes with instructions for installation and a remote control. Take note that the fan will operate on a wall switch for on an off only and the remote needs to be used for direction and speed control unless wall switch is adapted. This fan is durable. The blades are made of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) which is a tough, rigid, and lightweight thermoplastic polymer and also resists moisture. The motor of 30wats is strong and brushless. Brushless affords you much less electric consumption compared to the old brush type motors of almost and most cases around 70 percent less. This feature alone appealed to me for the savings. A well designed and very productive fan.

The 42-inch size is suitable for small to medium-sized spaces, but if your patio or room is large, a single fan may not provide enough coverage, requiring a larger size or multiple units. The white exterior is clean and refreshing, but after prolonged outdoor use, dust and insect residue are more easily visible than in darker colors, requiring regular wiping to maintain cleanliness. While the lack of a light, remote control storage, and large-area coverage present some limitations, its main functions are reliable. Given the appropriate space size, it remains a practical and cost-effective indoor/outdoor ceiling fan.
