Such a cool, vintage feeling handle - the porcelain knob feels nice in hand and is a great size for my smaller hands when some others feel too big. The shiny brass base is nice but shows fingerprints and smudges very easily, my only critique, I feel like it’s always going to look like it needs cleaning. Other than that, I really do like it and it dresses up the simple doors in my old house so nicely!

I absolutely had to get these the second I saw them because they brought back an instant wave of nostalgia from my childhood. They reminded me so much of my mom's house growing up, where she had those beautiful classic white door handles paired with crystal ones throughout the home. Beyond the sentimental value, installation was a total breeze it took me maybe five minutes tops not counting taking off the old handle, but at this point, I am practically a certified door handle removal pro. It turned out gorgeous, and it really is the little details like this that make a house truly feel like a home. Being able to express your personal style through unique fixtures like these makes all the difference in a space.

This is a review of a "parro" Polished Gold and White Egg Style Doorknob. I found both the polished gold finish and the white egg knob very attractive. The entire assembly seemed to be a little heavier than the cheaper doorknobs. I'm hoping that translates into quality.The mechanisms works smoothly. That includes opening the door, pushing the door shut without turning the knob, and operating the locking mechanism.If you're replacing an existing knob, you should only need a Phillips screwdriver. If you're changing the strike plate, you might need a chisel too. If your knob is older, there is a possibility that you need to replace the strike mechanism which might mean a chisel too. Installation on a new door might be a little different.The pricing seems reasonable for the appearance and hopefully upgraded quality.

Perfection! I would give more stars if I could.We are renovating a 1900 farm house and this door knob looks perfect!I thought I wanted to do all glass knobs but they are way too problematic.I did the installation myself in 30 minutes and the only reason it took that long was because I had to make the holes larger for the knob to be compatible with the 100+ year old door .I have found that the old doors consistently have smaller hardware, the modern knobs are always slightly bigger.I used a 1" vintage flat wood-boring drill bit, commonly known as a spade or paddle bit, to make the hole bigger and it installed perfectly.The inner mechanism is somewhat stiff but very sturdy and the quality is beautiful!I am very pleased with the scratch resistant egg shaped knob. The brass colored metal didn’t become full of finger prints from installation, so keeping this looking beautiful will be easy.

This is beautiful! I love the curved bronze look of the trim and the white porcelain handle. It offers an instant upgrade to a cheap interior door. I also like the lock, which is more secure than the usual center push button of the generic handles that come with these doors. They always seem to pop open with a firm wiggle. This lock is, instead, more substantial and less breachable.This is an entire kit, too! It includes the knobs, latch, strike plate, screws, and several adjustable brackets. However, be careful with measuring. It is marked as "standard fit" but I shared an image of the standard doorknobs I removed to replace with this one, and this is a bit bigger if you have an older door.It is not a problem to fix. If you have a jigsaw or file you can easily carve out the space needed. In fact, the latch does go partially in but is just too tight and long without shaving off some wood for extra space. Also, you cannot use the old latch because, as you can see from the image, it doesn't include the hole for the pin that comes with the new knob. Therein lies your better security, but your inability to swap out the knob only. The fact that it isn't the quick and hassle-free installation promised is the reason for the four stars instead of five.Other than this minor extra work, the handle is beautiful, well made, and so much nicer than those chintzy gold or silver handles that make your house look like a generic office closet. So, despite maybe needing a bit of extra time on an older door, I would say the price, aesthetic, and complete kit make this a good buy.

The Parro white egg-shaped door knob with antique brass trim is an excellent quality piece of hardware. It comes with clear and straightforward installation instructions. All the hardware is included, except for a Phillips head screwdriver.I live in an older home with six panel colonial-style updated doors, and changing door knobs can be challenging because the striking plates and latches are often misaligned. However, the Parro vintage-looking door knob works flawlessly.This door knob is compatible with US doors that are 1-3/8” to 1-3/4” thick. The zinc latch with an adjustable backset of 2-3/8” or 2-3/4” makes a significant difference for my doors due to the age of the home and the original cuts of the wood doors.I installed the door knob without any issues, but I uninstalled it because I discovered a door issue in the small bathroom that I hadn’t noticed until I installed the beautiful door knob.I’m planning to order more as I remodel some of the rooms, one at a time! I highly recommend the Parro brand of the white door knob with antique brass trim, vintage door handle, waterproof, rust-resistant, and scratch-resistant.

What I say:I am attaching 3 pictures to this review so you can see how it arrived packaged, as well as a front and side view of the door knob.I am in the process of reconstructing my home and wanted a bathroom that would help anyone who was stricken with arthritis. Opening small, round knobs is not easy. I wanted something oval, easy to grip, yet with an antique look.This door knob is perfect for the bathroom door. The egg style give the oval shape. It has a lovely vintage look with an antique brass trim. It is water proof and rust proof. (Great since bathrooms can get steamy.) It is scratch resistant and has a simple push lock for privacy. (No worries of a grandchild walking in.)One person can install it, but it is easier if a second person is there to help. If you get stuck, come back to the product page (here) and look mid-way down the page for detailed instructions. One tip I made note of before beginning to install is (pasting from below):Tighten the screws by handTurn the knob 45°Tighten the screws with a screwdriverThat second step is a big help.
