This kit of router bits works great. The bits all look good and come in a nice wooden box. The bits are all 1/4-inch shank, so they work well with my little palm router. Having a kit like this with a good assortment opens up a lot of possibilities. Lately I've been using the router more and more for cutting dados, especially when I only need a short length. It's just so much easier to pop in a bit rather than having to load up the stack in the table saw. But the one that's gotten the most use has to be the 3/8-inch roundover. This has become my go-to for most finished stuff. I usually keep the roundover in the router, so it's almost easier to run around the edge with the router than with the sander. Plus it's handy to have a kit that shows the various profiles just to get an idea of the appearance. And so far, the bits have held up well. Granted, most of my stuff is in soft wood, mainly pine, but the bits seem surprisingly durable for such a modest price.

nice set, but durability is questionablenice set, but durability is questionable

[Set name: 15 - PCS, Set name: 15 - PCS]
This is a nice router bit set overall, but I am not fully sold on the long-term quality yet.The variety is good, and I like that it comes in a storage box so everything stays organized. For basic woodworking or lighter projects, it seems like a handy set to have around. The listing shows this as a 15-piece 1/4 inch shank router bit set with tungsten carbide milling cutters and a wooden storage box.My main concern is how long the bits will actually last. The quality feels a little questionable, and I am worried they may dull or burn up quicker than better quality bits, especially with heavier use.Pros:It comes with a nice variety of bits, the storage box is useful, and it should be good for basic DIY woodworking jobs.Cons:The quality is questionable, and I am not sure how long the bits will hold up before dulling or burning out.Overall, it is a decent set for light use, but I would not expect premium long-term durability from it.

So far as I can tell at this point, this set contains a nice selection of high-quality router bit...

FIRST IMPRESSIONS• Good assortment in nicely-made wooden box (see relevant photo).• Bits look well made.• I appreciate the ball bearings on the shafts of five of the 15 bits:o The 3/8” round corner bit.o The 1.25” 45-degree chamfer bit.o The cove bit.o The flush trim bit.o The Roman ogee bitFIRST USEI chucked the 1/2” straight bit in this set on my drill press (to use it like a milling cutter) followed by…• First mounting a piece of high-density-polyethylene (HDPE) in a two-axis, crank-movable vise.• Plunging the spinning bit ¼” into the HDPE.• Then cutting a ½” wide x ¼” deep groove in the HDPE by slowly cranking the vise along one of the axes.See the attached video. Note that I aimed a high-air-velocity cooling blower at the cutting location to minimize the possibility of material-melting.FIRST USE RESULTSSee the attached photo of the routed piece of HDPE. I’m fairly pleased with the routed groove*. I think that the ½” straight bit from this set did a good job, and I’ll assume that the bits in this set will do even better jobs, at higher speeds, with wood.____________________________________* Note that what appears to be a roundish projection at the last-routed end of the groove turned out to be a residual pile of chips that I subsequently brushed off cleanly with a fingernail.

Good Price - Good Starter Set or Replacement Bits/Mills

[Set name: 15 - PCS]
I am a woodworker. I also own a 4' x 4' wood CNC machine. I got the 15 piece set because I've destroyed a number of these bits (the shape, size) and these will replace those (with some extras). I thought the listed price was a very good price. I use the bits with bearings in my handheld trimmer, and in my router table. I use the ones without bearings on the CNC. I have only used 3 so far, but I have inspected the set and can report:Quality: These are pretty good quality. Time will tell on the bearing life, but the tools seem well cut. This item would probably have gotten four stars, but for the really nice case. I have a LOT of bits, and a lot of them came individually in a little square plastic sleeve. I have yet to (this review may be the impetus) make a proper tool holder for all my loose bits (a board with a line of holes the size of the bit/mill shanks (1/8", 1/4", and 1/2")). So, tools that come in a nice, well labeled wooden case get an extra star - therefore this set gets FIVE STARS.Versatility: A nice selection of common tools, with bearings and without.Cutting Performance: Very good - the carbide is sharp, and should stay that way for a long time.Durability: The carbide cutting edges should be very durable. Only the bearings are of concern to me.Likely User: Starter Set (good variety at great price), or extra bits for common bits you've likely destroyed.I recommend this set!

Great 1/4 budget router bit set

[Set name: 15 - PCS]
This set has all the bits I use in a 1/4 router with the exception of a couple more different sized round over bits. The set comes nicely packed and labeled with the correct bit style and a little photo of the profile they make. The quality is good for the price and the sharp carbide tips make them last a long time if you take care of them. The storage case is compact and nice too! A great set for starting woodworking and you also want some decorative profiles.

Cleaned up my edges, ate through hardwood, and didn't throw a single spark or chatter!

[Set name: 15 - PCS]
Finding a solid set of 1/4" shank router bits that don't dull after three cuts or leave burn marks all over your stock can be a total gamble. I grabbed this 15-piece CATITO set to handle some edging, flush trimming, and custom woodworking projects around the shop, and it has easily exceeded every expectation on my bench. The tungsten carbide edges on these bits are sharp right out of the box. I dropped the chamfer bit into my router to put clean bevels on a dense hardwood piece, and it sliced through like butter—zero tear-out, no ugly burn marks, and a silky smooth finish that took minimal sanding. The bearing guides roll freely without seizing up or marring the edge of the wood, which keeps your profiles completely uniform along the entire pass.Having 15 distinct profiles in one organized set is a massive time-saver. You get a great mix of straight bits, flush trim cutters, roundovers, and coves, meaning you aren't stuck halting a project mid-build to run out and buy a single specialty cutter. The 1/4" shanks fit snug into the collet with zero slip, and the overall balance on the bits is great—no terrifying high-speed vibration or chatter while pushing through heavy stock. The wooden storage case is a very nice touch that keeps everything sorted and stops the carbide edges from banging together in a messy drawer. It turned a tedious filing and hand-sanding marathon into fast, satisfying routing passes that look crisp and professional. Easily a 5-star set that delivers serious bang for your buck!

Nice Variety for Common Projects

[Set name: 15 - PCS]
This router bit set offers an excellent assortment of the most commonly used profiles for woodworking projects. Having a variety of bit styles in one case makes it easy to tackle everything from edge trimming to grooves and decorative cuts without buying individual bits. The carbide cutting edges produce clean, accurate cuts in wood, plywood, MDF, and particleboard when used properly. The 1/4-inch shanks fit most trim routers and many full-size routers, and the bits feel well balanced during use with minimal vibration. The included wooden storage case is a nice touch, keeping each bit organized and protected so they're easy to find and less likely to become damaged between projects. This set is best suited for woodworking applications and shouldn't be used on metal or other non-wood materials. As with any router bit, taking lighter passes helps achieve cleaner results and extends the life of the cutting edges.Overall, this is a great value for DIY woodworkers, hobbyists, or anyone building a starter collection of router bits. The wide variety of profiles, solid construction, and organized storage case make it a practical addition to any woodworking shop.
