I absolutely love how this pendant light looks over our kitchen island because the black and gold combination gives the room a modern but slightly industrial feel. The 17.8 inch dome is a great size and makes a noticeable statement without looking too bulky or overwhelming the space. The metal shade and hanging hardware feel sturdy and well made, and the matte finish gives it a much more expensive appearance in person. My husband installed it without any issues since most of the fixture was already assembled and the included hardware and instructions made the process pretty straightforward. I especially appreciate the adjustable hanging height because we were able to get the fit and placement just right over our island, and it can also accommodate a sloped ceiling. The standard E26 socket makes it easy to choose different types of bulbs, and we used a warm bulb that looks beautiful against the gold interior. Absolutely love this pendant lamp. I’m using it as a chandelier in my primary bathroom. I’m in the process of remodeling, and I’ll be using black and dark brass fixtures so this works perfectly. Although the bottom is open, by using a decorative bulb, this makes quite a statement. The black on the outside of the shade and the gold on the inside of the shade is stunning. This is a quality made fixture which is nicely finished, and easy to install if replacing an existing ceiling fixture. I think the price is justified because of the quality and uniqueness of this light fixture.

Love the black and brass two-tone finish! Pictures do not show how premium this lamp feels. The dome shade prevents glare well. I hung it above the dining table. Build quality is solid metal, not cheap flimsy material. Very satisfied with my purchase.
