The wireframe style shelves have been a bit dual purpose for us as we have been able to store stuff on the shelves, but also hang a few items from the wireframe. The support brackets look great in powder coated black and are quite sturdy. The wireframe is attached to the brackets via screws. We were able to mount the brackets right to the studs so they offer great support to the shelves. At 2x4 feet each, these really gave us a lot of additional space in our garage and are very happy with them!

These are great shelves as long as the large web design works with what you want to store on them. They are good option for storing some totes ( holiday decorations etc) be sure to measure the top length and width on the tapered totes( *almost all totes are wider at the top than at the bottom) If that's the intended use, you'll want to be sure they will fit in the orientation you desire without overhanging . I originally ordered for totes but the totes we have would have needed to be sideways to be completely ON the shelves SO ended up redirecting those to heavy duty adjustable shop shelving. We Ended up installing these in our new shop to create a tool storage room. Best idea ever . To make full use of the hooks and shelves we used them as single row and ordered shorter shelves to use above. Really nice to get all tool sets out of the main workshop area and into central location ! This has made made locating tools a much better experience than it was it our previous shop ( digging though every base cabinet & deep shop shelving units it seemed like a never ending battle 😅. Having a tool check out room is the best thing we've done for our shop ever! Tools and cases stay clean when not in use being out of the main work area and they are so much easier to locate particularly if they don't make it back home;) Just knowing who took them out and when- has eliminated the whole shop search and backtracking to find missing tool sets! Even if they don't make it back you know exactly who's work station they are at which is a HUGE time saver. You do absolutely need to hit studs with the supports to get full weight capacity ( OR apply external 2x cross boards to hit studs if that's impossible for some reasonm) these will accommodate standard stud spacings of 16" or 24" oc which we have NOW - but for instance in our last building the studs were all over the place 14" 12" , 17" it's was maddening. Concerning weight these sets are heavy so .... I felt it was a good idea to weigh what we put on them and employ a labeling system to plan the storage layout, know for sure how much weight is going on them and assign location to all of them to avoid searching the room ;) The shelves have good capacity but with heavy tool sets ( differential, crankshaft pulling sets etc ) the weight can add up pretty quickly I was shocked by the totals actually! To avoid catastrophe , I labeled the cases not only with name but with weights and system to indicate what should be where on each shelf( it's a simple system of lettered shelves and numbered cases . I used Barcodes to label these cases on the side & a scanner is used to verify the kits before taking them down which eliminsted the need to open 5 cases that look alike to verify contents! (The applied labels on these cases never stay on and are always on the face side anyway not useful when stacked in like books ) * I will say We have more space than weight capacity on some of shelf units due to what we are storing. Still I like these over the other options we considered ,(standing floor shelving unit) These the hanging shelves worked out better leaving floor free for other large tools underneath on the floor. These have made a small walk in type space incredibly useful. I didn't plan for this room to be used like this when it was built it was meant to be for hardware bins 😅 . Still hoping to pick up hardware storage wall system or standing gondola at a sale. These have proven quite useful . The wide wire construction means no cleaning needed for the shelves themselves and no stray parts or tools get left on them either ;) . These come with good instructions and are easy to mount and assemble. I like these and feel these are a good value. I like them better than wood boards on support bars even though those are adjustable, they tend to gather dust and require more cleaning . With these the floor and cobebs are the only thing that need regular cleaning In this space👍 gotta love that .

The Torack storage shelves are strong and capable, perfect for use in my workshop. I found some bins to store on the top, and some hooks to hang tools from underneath. Strength wise, they aren't flexing or struggling at all, I have them securely fastened to 2x4 studs. Excluding the weight of the shelf, I measured everything at 163lbs, with the published limit being at 220. On the second shelf I have added a piece of corrugated plastic to keep small items from falling through, which is the only downside of these shelves.The value is decent based on what I've found at my local hardware store.

I have a couple of Torack shelfing and other accessories and I've found them all to be really good quality and heavy construction. While these shelving units aren't necessarily less expensive than other brands, I am confident in them that they'll last and actually hold the weight as advertised. They look good and can accomodate if the studs you're attaching them to aren't perfectly in-line with where you want the actual shelf. In that case, you will have more of an overhang on one side, so you do have to watch the weight distribution, but it's better than shelves that have to be exactly lined up with your studs. They were pretty easy to install and set up, so that was a plus.

Those large black storage containers have become the backbone of my garage organization. They hold tools, seasonal items, supplies, and all the miscellaneous things that would otherwise end up scattered around. The problem is that once enough of those containers accumulate, they begin taking over the floor. These wall-mounted wire shelves have given me a much better way to use the space.The shelves are deep enough for the larger storage bins I already own, which was the main reason I wanted them. Instead of stacking containers in corners or leaving them where they interfere with walking and parking, I can move them up onto the wall and reclaim the space underneath. That alone has made the garage feel more organized.Installation is not complicated, but finding the wall studs and securing the brackets properly is essential. These are meant to support real weight, not just a few lightweight decorations, and I would not trust drywall anchors for that job. Mounted directly into studs, the shelves feel extremely solid and stable.I have loaded mine with containers that are heavy enough that lifting them onto the shelves is a challenge. I have not carefully weighed every bin, but I do not go easy on them, and the shelves have held without sagging or shifting. The wire panels are secured to the brackets rather than simply resting on top, which helps the entire assembly feel more dependable.The open wire design is well suited to storage containers and larger equipment. It also keeps dust from collecting across a solid shelf surface. Small loose items could obviously fall through, but that is not how I use these. Everything placed on them is already inside a bin or case.The black powder-coated finish looks clean and appropriate in a garage. More importantly, it gives the steel another layer of protection against ordinary moisture, chipping, and rust. These shelves feel like something I can install once and continue using for decades rather than a temporary organizational product.They are not the least expensive way to store things. Basic freestanding racks or homemade wooden shelves may cost less, but they also occupy floor space or require more work to build. These make excellent use of wall space and feel far more permanent.I am giving these shelves five stars. They are strong, practical, well finished, and extremely effective at getting heavy storage containers off the garage floor.

These wall-mounted garage shelves are a great way to free up floor space and keep everything organized. This is a heavy duty shelf that can hold as much weight as the fasteners can handle.It holds plenty of weight when attached directly to studs but I’m thinking about moving it to my shipping container where I can through bolt it to the wall for maximum capacity.I did find a couple welds in the wire that had broken (see photo).The brackets are SOLID!I am currently using it outdoors and there are some rust spots near welds and ends of wire.Assembly was super easy. It’s pretty straightforward honestly.I love how sturdy the hooks are too! They can hold anything that I throw at it.I would definitely order these again.

I am genuinely impressed by the garage shelves by Torack. They are heavy duty and can support a lot of weight. According to the description, the shelves can each support 150 lbs on top and 35 on each hook. Based on the support brackets and shelf construction, I don't doubt that. The black coated wires look nice. Everything is evenly coated and I don't see any defects in materials or workmanship. Installing the shelves is easy. It requires drilling, screwing, and wrenching. All basic and shouldn't be difficult for most people.I primarily wanted the shelves to hold some chainsaws and that works, but they can hold other items as well. I put some bins full of cords and other miscellaneous items on one. They are 2 feet deep so that easily fits most bins or items. At 4 feet across there is room for two bins plus a smaller side item. Putting them side by side gives 8 feet of continuous space. I debated on what I wanted and ended up putting them up separately just because of how the garage is set up. There are no ends to prevent items from falling off. For me that is a positive as I don't want sides put I guess that depends on what you are storing. The shelves aren't meant for small items, as they can fall through, but putting down a thin board can solve that issue.I'm glad I ordered these as they have freed up valuable floor space. The shelves are excellent quality and very strong.
