I had been using Filtrete filters in my Lennox furnace because they are available at the local hardware store, but I wanted better filtration due to seasonal and dust allergies. This filter is the same size as what was on the furnace before, and has a tighter fit than the Filtrete that fills in the gaps with foam strips on the sides. There is slightly less airflow out of this MERV 16 filter versus the MERV 12 filters I've been using, but it is not really noticeable and it keeps the air cleaner. MERV 16 is the last step before being a HEPA filter and the this filter definitely looks and feels more durable and heavy. I have been changing the Filtrete filters every 6 months, bit I think this filter should last a year. If it does, that makes the higher price worth it since the Filtrete filters are half the price. Better filtration and double the usage makes it worth it.

This MERV 16 filter is a perfect fit for my Lenox system. The Mere 16 filtration rating means this filters out over 95% of pollutants including; smoke, dust, bacteria, sneeze droppings, bigger dust particles, mold spored, mite debris, cat and dog dander, pollen, sanding dust, and textile fabrics, etc. This is a blessing to my family as we have a number of allergies. This rating along with changing the filter as recommended helps keep our family healthy.

This 20x26x5 MERV 16 filters fit perfectly in my Lennox furnace. No forcing, no gaps, just a clean, snug fit the way it should be. I’ve always bought MERV 13 filters to save a little money, but the price on this 2‑pack made it easy to upgrade to MERV 16, and I’m glad I did. The MERV 16 will definitely come in handy during cold and flu season, since it should block bacteria as well.The difference in dust control is noticeable. I’m allergic to dust, and these filters do a great job keeping the air cleaner and reducing the amount that settles around the house. The higher filtration level really helps catch the fine particles that MERV 13 sometimes misses.Overall, a great value, excellent fit, and a big improvement in air quality. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is a high quality well constructed air filter. The pleats on this filter are packed tightly together giving more surface area of filtration allowing a long time before making replacement necessary and making this filter a good value. The filter comes fully assembled and drops in place easily, giving a perfect fit. The MEEV 16 level filtration could immediately be noticed improving air quality in our house. The filter provided a superior level of filtration without any added noise in our system.

Fits perfectly in our Trane furnace. The area the filter fits in is very tight, so the actual dimensions of the filter must be exact to fit correctly. It slid right in like a dream.
