The automatic sensor is the most useful part for me. The light comes on when it gets dark and turns off in the morning, so I do not have to remember to switch it on and off every day. The warm light is enough for the entry area, but it is not meant to light up a whole driveway. For a small porch or front door, it works well and looks nice.

I bought this because I wanted something with more detail than a regular porch light. The round glass shade has a thick, solid look, and the inner pattern gives it more depth than plain glass. When the light is on, the globe softens the bulb and gives off a warm golden tone. It makes the entrance feel more finished, almost like adding a small design feature to the wall instead of just installing a light.The fixture sits close enough to the wall that it does not feel bulky, and the black finish works well with modern exterior hardware. Installation was similar to replacing a normal hardwired wall light. I would just be careful with the glass part during installation because it is the main decorative feature of the whole fixture.

The globe glass gives this fixture a very unique look. When the light is off, the glass already has a nice frosted and layered appearance. When the bulb is on, the warm light brings out the lines inside the globe and makes it look almost like a small glowing planet. The main reason I like it, though, is the way the glass globe looks when it is lit.

This is really sharp. First, the installation. It was one of the easiest outdoor lights I have ever installed. With a very clear and simple braket to attach it with, and very simple wiring ( live wire, neutral wire & ground ) it took all of ten minutes to put up and get working. The design is as interesting as it is attractive and really compliments what would other wise be a very plain wall on the outside of my home. It turns itself on at dusk and back off at dawn making this truly mantainance free. I highly recommend this!
