Replacement was one of the easiest valves I've ever done. No leaks. Nobody is ever going to see it once installed so appearance not high on my list of things to evaluate. This one piece cartridge replaces the old 2 piece cartridge and if you can't remove and reinstall the four screws that hold it in place you need to evaluate your usefulness to mankind.
