For less than $4 a piece, these 1/4 turn angle stop shut off valves are great value for the money. They are well made and easy to operate. The 1/4 turn valves are much more reliable than the traditional multi-turn valves. The multi-turn valves tend to leak if they had not be operated for a long time. I generally prefer to replace them with 1/4 turn at first chance.

I've been nurturing my small greenhouse for a couple of years, gradually adding new pieces to enhance the growing process. This year, I decided to install a simple, controllable irrigation system to make watering my vegetables easier. When I saw these valves, they seemed perfect for my project—adding multiple drip lines to different garden pots inside the house.The units are designed to connect to a 1/2” copper or PEX-B line, tapping into the supply line from the 3/8“ side. For my setup, I installed a central line (manifold) with a “T” connector and placed valves every few feet along the greenhouse. Using clear tubing, I connected the output to drop lines around each garden pot. Now, I can easily manage the watering for each pot or group of pots without having to walk around with hoses from the rain barrel.
