Seems to be doing the job so far

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
This is a 25 micron whole house water filter that works perfectly fit for my Culligan HD-200C water filter. Installation was a breeze as this went in easily and doesn't leak at all: it has washers on the top and bottom of the unit. It's a reasonable deal as the price is pretty much in line with other non-OEM filter. It also looks like a well-built filter that should last. I like that it's a sturdy build unlike the pleated filters that bend while tightening.24 hours after installing this filter, I can already see all the dirt and sediment that it has caught (my filter housing is clear glass), so I know that it's doing its job in keeping my water clean and tasting like water should. Overall, I'm satisfied with this filter and wouldn't hesitate buying more when these eventually need replacing.

Great OEM filters

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
I recently tried out these PUREPLUS water filter replacement cartridges for my GE whole house system, and they've been working out really well. I use them in place of the GXWH40L filter, and they fit perfectly, making the swap-out process just as easy as the original once you know the routine. I'm pleased to report that I've had absolutely no issues with leaks after installation, which is always a good sign with these types of filters. I also haven't detected any change in the taste or color of our water, nor any debris, which tells me it's effectively filtering without introducing any unwanted elements. Overall, it's proven to be a dependable and straightforward replacement option for my setup that provide a great value at roughly half the price of the branded ones.

good whole house water filter

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
This PUREPLUS 25 Micron 10" x 4.5" Whole House Water Filter Cartridge (2 Pack) is a whole-house pre-filtration cartridge set that is an excellent choice for maintaining household tap water quality. We have a well and use a home water filter system to filter our water. This product is universally compatible with standard 10” x 4.5” heavy-duty filter housings, replacing models like the GE FXHTC and Culligan RFC-BBSA. The filter design uses a multi-layer density technology featuring three PP layers and a coconut shell activated carbon layer. This helps to filter multiple impurities targetedly, removing up to 99% of chlorine, sand, rust, and sediment. I note that it is built to filter up to 30,000 gallons of water. This filter should last much longer than my other home water filters. The product is easy to install and overally works well. I note that this filter removed unwanted tastes and cloudiness from our water. Overall, this two-pack serves as a good chioce for home use. Thank you!

Good filtration but slightly diminished water pressure is the trade off.Good filtration but sligh...

I use these Pureplus 25 Micron Carbon Water Filters at our lake cabin with well water. I st them in a line after a 40 micron spin filter and a 1 Micron sediment filter. Why? In my opinion, it is sometimes best to filter the water to a lower micron guage sediment filter "before going through your carbon filter". In a nutshell, it doesn't make sense to clog up your carbon filter with sediments. Best to get that out with a dedicated sediment filter and reserve the carbon filter for removal of chlorine and other things that impact water taste. Also because carbon filters generally cost more. The filter fits my 10" x 4.5" housing canister well. I found the water clarity did improve when I added this filter and there was a definite difference in the taste of our water. The installation was easy and I noticed these filters are built quite strong so you don't have to worry so much about damaging them or handling them like a fragile pleated filter. There is one thing I did notice after installing this filter. There was a noticeable drop in water pressure in the house after I installed it. That surprised me as it was preceded by a 1 micron filter that was already in place and allowing decent pressure before I installed this 25 micron carbon filter. I suspect that is because it is doing its job, but it is something I feel I should mention. I cannot yet speak to functional longevity as I just installed this filter, but I can say I believe it is doing its job well after a week of use.

Great fit, no leaks, clean taste, and consistent flow

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
I picked up this 25‑micron PUREPLUS filter set for my whole‑house system because I needed something that could handle sediment and chlorine without choking the flow. I’ve tried a handful of different brands over the years, and some of them either restricted the pressure too much or left the water tasting a little “off.” These didn’t give me either problem — and that was the first sign they were worth keeping. When I installed the first cartridge, it seated perfectly in my housing with no fuss. The fit was tight, the seals lined up, and once I turned the water back on, there were zero leaks. That alone puts them ahead of a few other filters I’ve tried. The flow stayed exactly where it should be — no drop in pressure, no sluggish faucets, no slow showers. Everything ran just as strong as before, which is exactly what I want from a sediment + carbon combo. The real test, though, was the water quality. After flushing the system, the water tasted clean and neutral — no weird aftertaste, no chemical smell, nothing that made me second‑guess the filter media. It handled the sediment in my system well, and the carbon layer did its job without over‑filtering or stripping out minerals. After running it for a while, I was impressed enough to grab the second filter from the pack and set it aside for the next change. For the price, the performance has been solid, and the fact that it matches the flow of my system without leaking or altering taste makes it an easy recommendation.

A different kind of carbon filter, more affordable, so far so goodA different kind of carbon filt...

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
These filters are a value buy at this price. Carbon filters can get a bit expensive, but these are quite affordable. So far as I can tell these provide the same level of reduction in chlorine and improvement in odor as other filters that cost twice as much. However, I suspect that I know how they can be sold at this affordable price. I think that there capacity to reduce chlorine and improve the odor of water is diminished. I’m not basing this off of personal experience, as I have not used them long enough, but I can tell you that they weigh a full pound less than my usual carbon CTO filters. Additionally, I noticed that these are not marketed as CTO filters, and yet they have carbon in them. I don’t know if this means anything because the T stands for taste and a reduction in chlorine would improve taste. These filters are 25 µm, which is fine with me because I use them in my post-filter and expect that my pre-filter is going to capture particles of 5 µm or greater. So I don’t really need my carbon filter to have the same level of filtration and in fact, in some cases, it might be better for water pressure to not be filtering 5 µm in both the pre-filter and the post-filter.I will say that the filter fits my Culligan heavy duty water filter housing perfectly. Swapping it out was easy and straightforward. As expected it has no negative impact on my water pressure and overall the water filter seems to be well made. I am starting to think that this water filter might be targeted for single filter systems, but if it provides the chlorine reduction and outer improvement that I expect for as long as my other carbon filters, I will be extremely pleased, because these have such a good price.

Great filter for overall carbon/sediment issues, the fit is just right for GE GXWH40L.Great filte...

[Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1), Size: 2 Count (Pack of 1)]
This is a filter designed for house sediment & carbon. I recently purchased the GE GXWH40L and enjoyed the way it installs, but I was in need of a good filter. This filter comes from PurePlus and they have a fantastic website that provides even more details about this filter. With IAPMO Certification for odor/taste/chlorine this filter fits the need. Speaking of fit, the filter fits great in the housing. I think this will be good value for the money with a 2-pack. The appearance matches the previous filter I had and I am very hopeful it lasts as expected and filters to expectation. I took the filter to the housing (in another state) for install, but I could not turn on the water yet due to other plumbing components I needed to work on, but everything looks great.BPA-Free Food Grade Material Meets European EC1935-2004 Regulations, Australian Water Mark, TUV certifications standards. 30,000 gallons of large filtration capacity, depending on water quality. The suggestion is to replace every 3 to 6 months. It is suitable for all standard 10 inch X 4.5 inch pleated washable whole house water filters and 9.75 inch x 4.5 inch pre-filtration home filters.Be certain to check the list of supported filter housings so you are fully happy with your purchase.
