I ordered this towel bar to match my other stainless steel hooks and rods in my bathroom. I was pleased that it is indeed metal and not painted plastic. I also wanted to avoid drilling more holes in my walls so decided to give this a try. It did not disappoint. The towel bar was easy to install (simple instructions and tips included) and the adjustability helped me maximize the space in my small bathroom. It is true to the product description in that it ranges from 14.6 inches wide up to 24 inches wide. I almost maxed this and did not notice any instability or weakening in the middle that you sometimes get with adjustable products like this. It is important to be mindful of this only working for smooth surfaces as I won't be able to use this in my other bathroom due to the tile not being completely smooth. Also expect that this is a sticky solution and not purely suction cup, so those functions work together but repositioning can be a hassle though possible.
