THE TRANSITION TO ELECTRIC: I have had simple, non-heated bidets on all my toilets for years. Upgrading to this fully electric model is a completely different experience. There is a bit of a learning curve when you suddenly have a remote control for your toilet, but the added comfort features make it an impressive upgrade.INSTALLATION & A CRUCIAL PRO-TIP: First, the power cord comes out of the right side (when facing the toilet) and is a generous 4 feet 9 inches long, which is plenty to reach an outlet on either side.Installation Tip: The bidet fastens to the toilet using rubber grommets that go through the holes in the bowl, and they are notoriously difficult to push in. HERE IS THE TRICK: Lather the grommets with soap, start them through the holes from the top, then thread the screws in from the underside and pull them down into place. It was the only way I could get them installed.THE REMOTE CONTROL & FUNCTIONS: Because this unit does so much, the remote relies on "cycling". For example, you press the same button repeatedly to step up the water pressure, the seat and water heat. (there are lights on the remote, see my photos, indicating this step up) It takes a few days to get used to, but it keeps the remote uncluttered. BONUS: If you ever misplace the remote, there is a handy backup button on the side of the seat to turn the bidet and washer on.STANDBY POWER & EFFICIENCY: If you are worried about your electric bill, don't be. I calculated the standby power draw and it only draws a highly efficient 0.6 watts. That means leaving it plugged in 24/7 costs about 4 to 5 cents for the entire month.TEMPERATURE CONTROLS:THE SEAT: It gets hot where I live, it has been over 100 degrees lately, so a heated seat is the last thing I want. Thankfully, you can turn the seat heater completely off for the summer. But this winter it will be great.THE WATER: The water temperature is adjustable from 93 to 104 degrees, but it smartly defaults to 96 degrees right out of the gate. This is just below body temperature, so there is no hot or cold shock - it is perfectly comfortable every time.THE AIR DRYER (A QUICK REALITY CHECK): The air dryer is a nice luxury, but it does not completely eliminate toilet paper. You still need to do a quick check with a few squares of paper to make sure you are 100% clean before hitting the dry button.THE ONE DOWNSIDE, WATER PRESSURE: If you are used to the high-pressure blast of a simple, non-electric bidet, you need to manage your expectations. Because electric bidets have to push water through a heating element and a smaller-diameter water line to keep it warm, the pressure is much lower. My old bidet could clean me in 5 seconds. The pressure on this unit is merely acceptable, not good, and it takes notably longer to get the job done.FINAL THOUGHT: If you want the luxury of warm water, a heated seat for the winter, and a gentle clean, this is a fantastic unit that sips electricity. Just be prepared to trade away the high water pressure of a non-electric model to get those heating features.

When I go somewhere, I may not get the best seat in the house, but I’m always pretty confident I’ve got one of the cleanest ones. I honestly don’t know what I did before bidet attachments came along, anything else just feels uncivilized now.This is the fourth bidet that’s been on this little commode, and even though the one I replaced cost more than twice as much, this one has several things the expensive one didn’t: Turbo mode, a night light, and a digital readout so you can see exactly what settings are in use. It also has a side dial, which I prefer over relying only on a remote. And the single flat sprayer is a smart design, fewer moving parts to break, less chance of anything getting stuck, and easier to clean.Installation was easy and similar to every other electric bidet I’ve had, but I do have one small gripe. The rubber plugs for the base plate are tough to get in. You have to soak them pretty well, and the only way I could get them in was at an angle. The water line connection is also different from any other bidet I’ve installed, and I had concerns about leaks at first, but once it was hooked up, those concerns disappeared. Actually, I think it might be the best connection design of any of them, and it was definitely quicker.Overall, this is a feature‑packed bidet attachment at a price that’s hard to beat. Clean seat, clean conscience, and everything works exactly the way it should.

This is my second one of these, so now i have something to compare it to.first off, it seems to be almost a carbon copy, of the other one as far as the mechanical parts are concerned. same mounting, same seat, same everything. the main difference is the controls and display.so basically this review is accurate for this model too.."There's equal part awesome and not awesome here.The unawesome first: the seat shape is super weird looking (Like off putting weird). The lid is really long, to the point where if you have a top button toilet, you gotta drop the lid to get to the buttons (although this might force people to put the seat down after use too). The installation hardware was frustrating, because the instructions were not helpful. Had to ask AI the best way to install it (I suggest you do too if you are unfamiliar with the mechanism, because it's relatively easy once it's explained properly, or at least it should be. Except...). When installing the proper way, the metal part popped out of the rubber on me, and caused a headache I didnt need. The night is not automatic, it's either on or off. And finally, i'm not entirely sold on the cleaning power yet.. but that's had limited test so far.Now for the awesome parts, which completely outweigh the unawesome parts: despite the off putting shape, its actually pretty comfortable to sit on. The heated seat is life changer. Even in the summer I can tell, winter excursions will no longer be dreaded. Might want to set it to low or medium though, cause it can get toasty.The heated water is also amazing. It doesn't last that long, but its long enough, and winds down slow enough that it isn't shocking. Likewise the dryer starts a little cool but quickly heats up. There's plenty of setting customization to get it just righ, and the spray feels powerful enough, but isn't so forceful its uncomfortable. It also appears to self clean a bit before and after each use. Also something I wasnt anticipating, it has a pressure sensor.. so nothing works without someone sitting (or pushing down) on the seat. So no "stray spray".The water hook up was a breeze. But note the power cord is on the left and the controls are on the right.. why? I dunno. I figure the power would be on the right too.. luckily it's a decently long cord.Overall I love it.. the heated seat alone makes it worth it. Feels like i'm living in the year 3000."now on to the main difference.. the controls. the other model had a button panel on the right side. which was ok. this model has a remote instead. i prefer the remote. for starters, the other control panel only had 3 heat settings for the various things that used heat, this version has 5. small change but big difference. other than that all the buttons are basically the same. the other great thing about the remote, is the side panel was kind of awkward to use while sitting, and since it only works while sitting, it was kind of a pain to clearly see what you are pressing, especially if you wear glasses. the remote you just pick up and there is no problem with that. i do wish it had both, for redundancy, but i would take the remote over the side panel. this model does technically have a side control built in. but it's a nob, and you cant see it while sitting, and i have ZERO idea to use it, and it's so weird i will i never bother taking the time to read the instructions for it, because i cant see any world in which i actually use it.the other differences are the display, which has some basic status icons, and tells you the temperature. that display combine with the lighting on the knob provide a nice little night light for the bathroom. something the other model doesn't really do. they both have an in bowl nightlight, but that useless if you close the lid all the time. so this models external lights provide a nice little extra night light.this model is much closer to 5 stars than the other one... but it still suffers from some of the smaller problems. like for instance, "eco mode" resets as soon as you sit down, and then you have to remember to manually turn it back on when you are done. which is fine for you, but most guests wont know anything about that. also the auto function is the go to, but the dryer portion seems to just stay on until you turn off. which i guess is better than it not lasting long enough, but it detracts from the "auto" in auto mode. it might eventually turn off, but i've sat and waited a while, so i have no idea how long it runs for if it does shut off on its own. if you use heat, your bum will be burning by then for sure. thats the other thing, use the lowest heat for the dryer, cause it gets hotter and hotter the longer it goes for. the lowest setting is rather nice though. minor flaws, but flaws none the less.like i said with the other one though, i love this thing.

The RFY bidet is a replacement of an older simple bidet for this toilet. The RFY is a full featured bidet with many of the features and options of premium ones but without the premium price.The installation was straightforward for me since I have experience installing similarly featured bidets in our other bathroom toilets. The installation sheet is decent but some of the pictures can use some improvement and include more specific instructions for those without prior installation experience. The user manual has decent instructions for each of the remote’s buttons, however, the Auto button doesn’t quite do what it describes and it wasn’t clear how to use it. Also, I didn’t receive the unit which has a proximity detector and can open and close the toilet lid automatically so I couldn’t test those features.While most of the functions of the bidet work as expected, the pex tube that brings water to the bidet is quite narrow and hence I was reduced to using the turbo wash feature at its max pressure. The other settings didn’t have sufficient pressure. The water temperature of the initial spray can be quite hot so I keep it at its lowest temperature. The air dryer feature, similar to the other ones I have including high end ones, is somewhat gimmicky and can’t really deliver enough flow of warm air to dry quickly.The only thing I didn’t like about the bidet was the sticker they placed on the seat to indicate where the sensor is that detects someone sitting on the seat and thus activating the bidet. Removing that sticker and the sticky glue took quite a bit of effort. Not sure what the purpose of that sticker is since none of the other bidets I have has that sticker and they all work similarly.Overall, I am quite happy with the bidet so far and will keep an eye on its longevity and will update the review if I find it failing later. But for now, I can certainly recommend it given its affordable price point and its long list of features.
