Chair Leg Sliders for Carpet

I have sliders on most of my furniture to save my back. In order to make a chair slide easily when you are on it, you need a slider that is considerably larger than the bottom of the chair leg. The larger ones don't look great, but they work.This chair slider is a good compromise. It fits a rectangle leg, slides well and looks good. The slider is a little bigger than the bottom of the leg, so there is some movement. On other chairs, I have used permanent glue, like Gorilla glue or E-8000 to hold the slider in place. I might try it on this chair, if needed. But for right now, it's working good.

Just what I needed! I have an acacia dining set for my pavilion covered grill deck and wanted protectors for the chairs and bench seat as water runoff could happen where they are. These fit perfectly and I think the bottom plastic will move nicely on the outdoor rug underneath.

They are nice. Easy to apply. Good grip. They don't look too bad on my stools. I got a medium sizes. I like that they don't shift/move off. Too soon for 5 star but they are good enough for me. So far no scuffing my floors.

Ripped after one week. They fit nice and tight on the chair legs, glide nicely on carpet but after sitting in the chair three times one of the caps tore open . Only needed eight so I’m glad there are more in the package. Hope the ripped one is just a fluke. The next size up was too large.

I have 4 counter-height stools that came with basic plastic feet secured by a single nail. Not the highest quality stools and the manufacturer definitely went cheap on the feet. We have tile floors, so the friction encountered whenever the feet would come up against the space between the grout and the tile wore those feet down over time and eventually some the plastic feet chipped off ... leaving the EXPOSED NAIL! I know, terrible, right?!After painstakingly removing the remains of each of the plastic feet I was able to get *most* of the remaining nails as well (using vice grips to grab on to the tiniest metal nub still protruding from the bottom of each leg), however, I couldn't get all of them. In a couple cases, even the nail was worn down so there was not enough metal to bite onto to be able to remove it. Now I know I probably could've drilled them out, but that would've left me with no material left to replace the feet! What to do?!I stumbled on these "cap" style chair feet and decided to give them a shot.Believe me when I tell you these changed my life. Not only were they a bit more discreet than I thought they would be (who *really* looks at the bottom of their stool legs anyway?!), but they allowed my stools to slide so much easier making them easier to maneuver when getting in and out of the stool. They are just slippery enough to slide, but not too slippery that you feel unsecure when sitting on the stools.I tried it out on one stool, loved the outcome so much, I just filed down the remaining couple of nail nubs, and put these chair leg sliders on all 4 of my stools.But here's the kicker, I have these 6 *heavy* dining chairs. They're really nice, but the didn't have any feet on them, so you really had to pick them up to move them between the area rug under the dining table. This wasn't a big deal for me, but the women in my life (mom, wife, daughters) didn't love it and my youngest daughter would often climb into the dining chairs to avoid moving them.I tried these chair leg sliders on the dining chairs, BOOM! Life changed again. They worked perfectly and made the dining chairs seem 20lbs lighter! Since I only had 2 sets of sliders remaining (used 16 of the 24 on the stools), I bought another set to put these sliders on the rest of the dining chairs.These made so much of a difference that I didn't tell my family what I did and THEY ALL NOTICED commenting, "Hey, these are so much easier to move!" The best part was when my mom could move the chairs around without lifting them.I bought these 4 months ago, and they're still going strong. Highly recommend!

There is nothing to dislike about these chair leg sliders. They fit perfectly and were so easy to slip on. Also, they are not coming off like those silly stick on glider caps or collect the fuzz that can happen with the felt ones. You can barely see them. These will save the chairs from being unnecessarily tugged on, affecting the life of the chair itself and it will save the rug that they sit on. It is effortless when you have to pull the chair out or push in, just a finger. And, when you sit on the chairs and have to scoot up closer to the table, you're not feeling like you're moving a trailer full of rocks behind you. I also like that the clear part protects the bottoms of the chairs from the sweeper and feet. I don't have a lot of strength in my fingers and these slid on wonderfully. I did put 4 sliders on a larger bar stool and though the next size would have been a better fit, these fit just fine - just needed to be tugged a bit to get on. A wish - I wish the quantity of gliders you receive was more consistent to the number of chairs that are typically around the table. We have 8 chairs which would need just 32 gliders. I had to buy 2 packs of 24 to get the quantity I needed and I have extra. Also, when you sit on the chair after putting on the sliders, you will hear a small squeak and I assume it's just the sliders seating themselves completely. That squeak has gone away as we've used the chairs.
