I am incredibly impressed with this wall sconce. The quality is immediately apparent; it is made of heavy, genuine natural travertine stone that feels substantial and premium. The installation process was straightforward, and the provided instructions were clear and easy to follow. It arrived exactly as advertised at the 7.87" size, and it functions perfectly as an up/down light. Really nice! Was nervous about ordering with no reviews. Shipped in a timely manner maybe a week or so- packed super carefully. Comes with the bulbs but I got different and they are " warmer." They are HEAVY - and a little smaller than I wanted but super nice variations. They are shiny which I don't love - I think it takes away I wish they were matte. Overall I think they are nice for the price point for a higher end look. One is not completely flush which is the mounting bracket needs adjusted so light shows out the bottom. Only other thing was one looked way more yellow than the other.

Bathroom renovations have a way of making you feel like you know exactly what you're doing right up until the moment you absolutely don't. I've been in the middle of one for a while now; building a walk-in shower, replacing a toilet, installing a floating vanity, and making a long list of decisions that will either look great or haunt me for the next decade. At some point you stop second-guessing yourself and just commit, which is how I ended up wiring a travertine wall sconce behind the toilet at eleven o'clock on a Tuesday.The bathroom has blue tile and walls that are technically white but lean so far toward blue that they've basically made their decision. The whole thing is supposed to feel calm and spa-like, which is a reasonable goal for a space where you spend a non-trivial portion of your life. The ceiling light was always going to be too much for that goal. Bright overhead light in a bathroom with light-blue walls, at two in the morning, when someone stumbles in half asleep, is not a calming experience. It's a sensory event. Your eyes don't recover from that without paperwork.So I put this sconce behind the toilet and wired it to the same switch that controls the light underneath the floating vanity. Both come on together whenever someone enters the room. The result is a low, warm, ambient glow that lights the space without announcing itself. It's enough to see what you're doing. It is not enough to make you feel like you're being interrogated. That distinction matters more than most lighting decisions people make.The travertine itself is the reason I picked this over a standard fixture. It's a natural stone half-moon shape, and it diffuses the light in a way that no manufactured material quite replicates. The texture catches the light at different angles, and against the blue tile it looks like it was always supposed to be there. That's a difficult thing to pull off in a renovation, where most decisions look like decisions. Currently redesigning a few bedrooms and this wall sconce is perfect for my design concept. I'm going for a warm, natural relaxing vibe using natural stone and wood. A travertine sconce fits perfectly! I wasn't sure if I'd like this because the photos make it look larger than it is. Thankfully it isn't that big. It is only about 7 inches and it is perfect and petite for a bedroom wall or hallway/entry sconce. The natural material looks great and it isn't too heavy. Gonna need a few more to complete the look once I've done a Roman Clay finish on the walls. All materials and the bulb came in the package for easy installation.
