Nice bright 4ft LED tube lights with adjustable color temp from 3K-6.5K. Just be aware that they are type A (ballast) or B (direct wire) but only support dual-ended power. I had a shop light I wired for single ended power and popped the breaker when i flipped these on. I have some other LED tube lights that work with both single or dual ended power and made the same incorrect assumption about these. If you don't know what any of this is then you should probably hire and electrician to install.

This review is for the T8 LED Bulbs 4 Foot, LED Tube Lights 4ft Type A+B, 24W, 3200LM, 6 CCT(3000K-6500K) Plug and Play or Ballast Bypass, Fluorescent Light Bulb 48 Inch T10 T12 Tube Replacement, Dual-Ended, Frosted, 2 Pack, which was selling for $28 at the time of this review - SEE MY NOTE at the end of this review.I wired them up by removing the ballast, since LEDs will be all that are ever used going forward, there is no reason to keep the ballast and have another failure point in the system. These fit in the fixture well, so they were easy to install and are quite bright. The reason I knocked off a star is that they are not as "nice" in terms of external construction that you can see and feel compared to the ones at the local box store and these aren't enough lower cost to justify that potential sacrifice in quality and ease of warranty compared to buying locally so for me, at this price, I would probably not order these again if for no other reason than the potential inability to get a warranty done after the Amazon return window.NOTE - If you are not familiar with Amazon Vine, it is basically Amazon trading products for honest reviews. NOTE that the items are NOT Free because Vine Members have to pay Income Tax on the value of the item, so the product is discounted but definitely not free, more like 1/3 to 1/2 price. As such, I don't order things that I don't NEED and USE!!! This is an important distinction because it should give you more faith that my reviews are not some fake nonsense boilerplate... I USE WHAT I ORDER, and I don't hold back if something is junk because I still had to pay for it... and this program actually bumped me up to a higher tax bracket in 2025, so it definitely wasn't free!

One showed up bent, so had to reorder. Company responded quickly.I did a ballast delete (be sure to label the ends as live and neutral). I really liike that they won't break and shatter like a long fluorescent tube, and they come with mulitple tones of light. Can't say how long they willl last just yet, but initial impressions are good.

Okay, I've done a few sets of T8 LED conversions for fixtures that were originally intended for fluorescent tubes with a ballast. The first thing I'd say is there's a fair bit of potential for this to go poorly if you don't take the time to understand the wiring diagram and make sure these are installed correctly - LED bulbs are far more sensitive to thing being wired incorrectly than their fluorescent counterparts. That being said, the A+B nature of these bulbs should account for most fixtures with a ballast, or modified fixtures that are wired to specification. Start by CAREFULLY reading the instructions and paying attention to the wiring diagrams is critical in making sure you assemble and install these correctly. I installed these in fixtures that have been converted to LED and the ballast removed. After triple-checking the wiring on the provided documentation and noting the polarity marks on the tubes themselves, I installed these into my existing fixtures and powered them up -- they worked immediately with no issue or drama. I have another fixture that still has a ballast installed, but I was reluctant to try these in that fixture. While these are listed as type A+B, and they should theoretically work in either fixture, I've had other bulbs blow my breaker and damage some wiring when trying that, so I didn't want to risk going through that again. I did note that the color temperature of these two bulbs were not perfectly matched with each other. Also, these are not as rigid as a glass tube - they have a little give/twist upon installation, which might feel weird to people used to the glass fluorescent bulbs, that aside, they worked great, and I'm completely pleased with these bulbs. They're a fair bit brighter than the fluorescent bulbs I replaced, though those were many years old and sortof worn out. I like that these power on immediately, even in cold temperatures and are immediately at full brightness. Great in a workshop. These have greater safety in a workshop setting as well, as a stray impact won't shatter the bulb and send mercury vapor and incredibly sharp fragile glass around your shop like happens when a fluorescent bulb breaks.The price of these gets pretty good when bought in bulk. I'd consider buying a large pack and then splitting them with family/friends that need to do similar upgrades in order to save some money.The first photo shows the noticeable difference in color temperature between the bulbs. The second photo shows the difference between LED bulbs in a converted fixture (right) and the original fluorescent bulbs (left).One other note: these are nice in a workshop/garage because they're not going to shatter and dump mercury vapor due to a stray piece flying and hitting them like the old-school bulbs. Nice perk!

This is the first LED tubes I bought that have the ability to change the color temperature which is a great feature. They are very bright and seem to be well constructed with a metal back strip which might add some strength, but I don't know if that's what it's for or to be a reflector. Mine have a weird issue I've never experienced with LED tubes before. I went in the attic and pulled the old tubes out and installed these and they were great, but the next time I went up and turned them on, they emitted a very audible hum. If I removed the tubes and put them back in, the hum stopped, but it repeats every time I turn them on. I have other tubes made by this same company and they are perfectly silent. It says that they use 24 watts compared to the 40 watts of the fluorescent tubes they replaced so they are pretty energy efficient even though some of my other LED tubes use even less than these. Price point is average with other brands.

This is a great option to replace existing fluorescent bulbs. Since these are LED they use less energy and can last a long time. Also these do not need the existing ballast in the light fixture. The instructions included show how to re wire the light fixture. It is a simple process but the thing to remember is that one end will be hooked up to the power or (hot) black wire and the other will be hooked up to the neutral wire or the white wire.The hot goes to the end opposite to the end of the bulbs with the built in sliding switch, and the end with the switch gets the white wire. If you remove the ballast it is less confusing ; just cut all the wires near each end of the ballast then remove the ballast.On a two bulb 4 ft light fixture there will be 4 terminals called tomb stones 2 on each end and on one end there should be 4 wires going to the ballast and the other end should have jumper wires connecting the 2 tomb stones and with 2 wires going to the ballast. That is the end I use to connect to the hot black or sometimes blue wire. Just connect the two wires that were going to the ballast to the hot wire coming out the ceiling. For the other, neutral end, with the sliding switch, just connect the four wires to the white wire coming out of the ceiling. See pics.Now with all that said, the built in switch is what allows you to pick the color output or brightness of the bulb, with higher output being closest to daylight and the middle setting being a soft white light. And the lowest setting being a soft yellowish light. On each bulb on one end is the switch, a small wiring diagram and the warning label and as the diagram indicates that is the end where the white neutral wire connects. Keep in mind that the grounding wire is not needed. Also the "L" indicates "live" or hot wire, also known as line wire. I have rewired many fixtures with the hot wire power output up to AC277 volts and they all are the same regardless of the power output amount. Note the bulbs work on AC100 to AC277 volts at 24 watts. Do not use with dimmers as that will cause flickering and will damage the lights or shorten the life span and it can also overheat the built in ballasts and create other problems.Also, just so you know; on the daylight setting it really is like daylight and has more UV output and that can cause Stonecoat or epoxy countertops to yellow quickly. So if you have Stonecoat countertops or shower walls set the your LED bulbs to the mid range setting for best results.I really like these bulbs, the price is good because you get a power savings and are able to adjust the bulb light output and on the lower settings it will use less power. Finally be sure to apply the supplied decal for the conversion onto the internal cover panel that covers the wiring so the next person who goes to install new bulbs knows it has been converted and also removing the ballast and re wiring it will make it so that fluorescent bulbs will not work in the fixture.

These LED tube replacements for fluorescent bulbs are excellent. The biggest advantages are the six selectable color temperatures and the Type A+B design.The color selection makes it easy to match the light to the rest of the house instead of being stuck with a harsh, industrial-looking fluorescent tone. In my case, that helped the laundry room blend much better with the warmer lighting used elsewhere. The Type A+B setup is also a major plus, since you can use them as simple plug-and-play replacements with an existing ballast or bypass the ballast entirely for a simpler LED-ready fixture. If you’ve already converted a fixture to ballast-free LED, these still work fine there too.I also really like the frosted diffuser. Instead of showing individual LED dots, the light looks smooth and even, which is much nicer in my opinion and closer to the look of a traditional tube.Installation is straightforward whether you are doing a direct replacement or using them in a modified ballast-free fixture. Build quality seems solid so far, though it will take several months to know how they hold up over the long term.Overall, these are versatile, attractive, and easy-to-use LED replacements with features that make them much more flexible than a basic fluorescent substitute.
