Stainless Steel S Hooks for Hanging

These are heavy duty S hooks, I have them suspending my hammock and there is no worry about them deforming or rusting. They were thicker than I realized, entirely my mistake in ordering, but I'm actually glad of it. Out in the elements, it stays strong and shiny, and it was a small investment to feel safe. These will outlast this hammock and all others that come after it. Honestly, they'll probably outlast me.

The 2" S hooks are well made of shiny 304 stainless. I tested the strength by using a strap and the S hook to support my 170lb. weight. The S hook held my weight without bending. Note that 304 stainless is not suitable for marine or salt water use. The 2" size is suitable for many indoor and outdoor uses. As these are open S hooks, they may let go if subject to strong winds and swinging. The hooks did stick to a magnetic. The $.50 price per hook seems reasonable for stainless steel and the quality.

I ordered the 2.6 inch, 12 pack. I like that they come in a handy plastic storage case. They are strong and durable and say rust-resistant which is nice since I'm in the midst of salty air.I think these are a great medium lightweight yet heavy duty size that are great for hanging plants, big enough for an outdoor sunshade or string lights, and small enough for hanging a coffee cup under the cabinet in my kitchen.These are great pieces of stainless steal hardware for your organizing needs. Good value.

Nicely polished 8mm Stainless hooks. M8 = 8mm rod diameter which is very close to 5/16 of an inch. Ends are smoothed and casually radiused so as not to be sharp at all but not carefully rounded. 304 Stainless is good, but the best marine fittings are usually 316 stainless, as 304 is more likely to discolor in salt water environments. 304 is good however. These are larger and heavier than I imagined, which is good for my applications. These are well worth the price and recommended.

I ordered these about 2 weeks ago. I have lots of hanging plants and decorative items throughout my apartment,so these came in very handy. The hooks look and feel of high quality and strength. This specific size is rated to hold over 500 pounds each, so safety is not an issue when hanging things. The size is extremely convenient, especially if you want them not to be so visible. I have actually replaced several larger s hooks with these since they look so much better. You get 100 in a plastic box. The amount will last me for years, plus the box makes it easy to store them or carry them if necessary. I have also used several of these hooks in a walk-in closet for hang miscellaneous tools.
