These L brackets really are heavy duty. They are heavy and cleanly/smoothly constructed and finished. The coating is adhered to them extremely well. Before we used them, I ran a screw driver across one to see how badly it would mar. I don't want to use them to build something and have it rust faster than we expected. And as you can see from the picture, there's barely a scratch visible. The coating also is inside the screw holes; a detail that's often not well done in other similar items I've used. I genuinely would buy and trust using these again.

The finish is reassuringly thick, promising good corrosion resistance and durability. The bracket corners are not chamfered, but are notched resulting in a pleasing appearance, and fit and function are as designed. Pleased with item.Cons: No mounting hardware (screws) were included with the brackets, so you must provide your own. The screw holes are not countersunk, so you should use hex head, cap head, or similar screws for mounting.Conclusion: Fair value for very robust, nicely finished L-brackets. Mounting hardware is not included. 4-Stars for meeting my expectations.

I had a fence company redo the fence a couple of months ago. They cut the adjoining fence and never re-attach the fence when they were finished. The fence was literally leaning over in a couple of months. I figured these heavy-duty brackets would do the trick and they sure did. The box came with (4) and I only needed to use (2) with a couple of exterior graded screws. The fence is now secure. The gauge on the steel is thick and cannot be bent or twisted. I purposely put the brackets on the top side of the 2x4 to test them during the rain. I will need to update my review after the rain season.

4 SecureLatch Heavy Duty L Brackets, 4x4x3, Review:These are well-made brackets. The metal is thick and consistent. There are holes in an X shape on each flat surface for placing screws. You have to provide your own screws or bolts. They'll need to have a flat surface on the bottoms of their heads as the holes are flat (not beveled).I don't think that they'll have any trouble with my use for them. But definitely observe the weight limits and consider them before ordering. I hope to use them for fixes that are light enough in weight. If I determine that the weight is too much, I'll likely use them in the garden to make a frame for a wire trellis.I think that bolts would be best with these, as long as you get ir have washers for the other side, but I think that screws will do and will be best if I use them for the trellis frame or the like. I could also use them for miniature arches that I could then stretch gridded metal trellises between, but then I'd need to anchor those one way or the other. It's good to have these to work with, whichever way I end up using them.
