This is a nice set of screw setters to use for installing drywall without a drywall screwgun. It works in a pinch, but running single screws is very time-consuming. This is a tool you will be glad you have, but hope to never have to use because there are much better ways to install drywall.For around $10, this set gives you a lot. The downside is that this set has a lot of small parts that will probably get lost.There are other screw setters out there that have a similar look, but this is one that allows for the stopper to be removed and expose the P2 bit. This is a nice feature if you have to remove a screw or two or need to overdrive a screw. The downside is that the screw depth is set by two tiny little washers.With both of the washers in place, the setter perfectly sets a screw in drywall. The head of the screw is below the surface and the paper is not torn. Ideal for taping. Using the tool without the tiny washers, the screw is overdriven below the paper layer, making it useless to hold the drywall to the framing. These are not thick washers, but they make a huge difference.I think that they thought that as the snout of the stopper wears out, you could remove a washer to "reset" the depth of the setter. That is a good idea, but in practice, the first time you remove the stopper from the bit you will likely lose the washers, and the setter will stop being useful.It is handy to be able to remove the stopper to adjust the set of a screw. If you drive a screw on an angle, it will not seat properly. A quick-change feature on the setter would make correcting this very quick and easy, but carring a simple P2 screwdriver in your belt can also accomplish the same task.I like this set. I like that the setters are about $2 each. I like that it comes with a magnetic bit driver. You can use that to give a bit more distance between your drill/driver and the wall. I like that the setter has a magnet strong enough to hold a screw securely. I recommend this set, but if you get one for yourself. just prepare to get some more because those tiny washers are going to disappear on you.
