First off, the base of this thing is pretty heavy! I don't think I'll be accidentally toppling this over anytime soon. The design is nice and simple too, so it would fit pretty much anywhere and look decent enough.It came with instructions, but the assembly was incredibly simple. You just have to screw the base onto the bar with the included L wrench and it holds together pretty tight. It also included adhesive foam circles to put on the bottom to the base doesn't scratch the surface of whatever you put it on, but the foam feet also seem to make it slide a bit too easily since they don't offer much grip.

During normal assembly, one corner broke completely off. The broken material looked more like a manufactured stone or composite than a solid piece of marble, and it crumbled into a white, sand-like material rather than fracturing the way I'd expect natural marble to.Fortunately, I was able to repair it with epoxy and sprinkled the white stone particles back into the crack before the adhesive cured. I was able to repair it well enough that it's difficult to notice once towels are hanging on it, but the base is permanently damaged and not restored to its original condition. I'm not sure how well it will hold up with the repair, or its durability had it not broken in the first place.I also contacted the manufacturer because the instruction manual specifically says to email them if there are any issues. Customer service was polite, but because this was an Amazon Vine item they believed Amazon had already handled the replacement with a refund and directed me back to Amazon instead. I'm not sure whether the outcome would have been different for a standard retail purchase.Despite that, I really do like the finished product. It has a good weight, the towels fit nicely on both bars, and it looks much cleaner than laying towels on the countertop or other towel stands I have gotten. If the base were more durable, this would easily have been a 5-star item.Best For: Anyone looking for an attractive freestanding towel holder, but I'd recommend handling the base very carefully during assembly. A more durable base, better quality control, or a clearer description of the base material would make this much easier to recommend.

Very stable platform.It's about 16" tall overall and holds 2 towels, or wash cloths. I ordered it for our bedroom bathroom but I think it's going to end up in the guest bath. We don't have the space for it in our crowded bathroom. The photos below are in the guest bath where there's more room.I looks nice, it's a bit tall, but when hand towels are folded over it they fit perfectly. Comes in a variety of colors, we got white marble and black metal. Very easy to assemble.

This hand towel holder fits wonderfully into our home decor. Our home was built in the seventies by a man that wanted a show place. The foyer is huge with a curved cast iron staircase and marble floors. The window sills are all marble. This marble based piece with its black stainless steel fits right into the blend of industrial and luxurious decor.I had a small hiccup putting it together. There is a bag with a screw and washer and a couple of rubber pads for the base. At first I tried putting the screw in the metal arm but it wouldn’t fit. It took me a moment to realize the screws were already in the arm, I needed to take them out and assemble it from there. The screw in the bag was an extra.When assembled this piece has some weight to it. The marble is blemish free and smoothly finished.The arm is a nice matte black and is also smooth to the touch.This will be used in our guest bathroom and will get the hand towel off of the counter. It looks wonderful and is well worth the price. I will also mention that it is very well packed with plenty of foam layers to ensure it arrives in one piece.
