The best thing about the transition to LED landscape lights is the significant reduction in transformer size you need to cover a space. We went from lights that took up 20 watts per light to just 2 watts with the same light output. I have a 600 watt transformer in my backyard (that is 15 years old and still running strong) that now is 1/4 used after I transitioned from halogen/incandescent bulbs to LED.This 60w low voltage transformer will have no problem supporting 15-20 lights, maybe more if you are using a greater number of accent lights vs spotlights. Previously a transformer of this size would only support a few lights.I have found that having a few transformers around the house, spread out a bit, works better than one big transformer and long cable runs. I am using this transformer in the front of my house to power 7 pathway lights by my front entryway. It is currently around 1/3rd at capacity leaving me some room to grow if I decide to add lights in the future.Setting this up was easy, just plug it in, connect the landscape wire, and select how you want the transformer to turn on. I have mine set to be powered by a timed switch so I did not use the build in timer (with photocell) functionality but that is available as well. Having the built in timer is great if you want to have this turn on and off itself with no other switch.

Works great. Flashes green at times and red at others. I need to find out why. Easy to program and a lot of functionality.

This transformer appears to be well built and seems to be fairly weathertight for outdoor durability. I appreciate the multiple automation features, especially the options for timers based on dusk. The unit offers good value for money given its performance, as it handles our ten LED landscape uplights with absolutely no problem. Installation was also very easy. I currently have the transformer mounted in my garage to run the lines out to my landscape lighting.My main issue with this product is that I really wish it were UL certified. Having electronics plugged in unattended in the weather makes me nervous without knowing they have been properly tested by an independent agency. This model is also a bit higher in price than other competing products on the market. Since I installed the transformer inside my garage, I feel a bit better about the safety aspect, but the lack of certification and the premium price are things to consider. Overall, it provides reliable lighting control, but the execution could be more reassuring.

Getting this landscape lighting transformer installed was a lot easier than I expected... The instructions were simple to follow and mounting it on the wall only took a few minutes... I have a setup with 6 spotlights across my front yard and it powered every one of them without any issues at all... Everything turned on evenly and the lights stayed bright from the first night I hooked it upI really like having the built in photocell and timer options because once I set everything up I didn't have to think about it again... The lights come on automatically at dusk and shut off based on the timer setting I picked... The photocell seems to detect the lighting conditions really well and hasn't turned the lights on too early or too late... It makes keeping the front yard lit completely hassle freeThe build quality feels solid and made for outdoor use... The housing feels sturdy and I like that it has protection against overloads and short circuits for a little extra peace of mind... We've already had some hot days and a couple of rain showers and it has continued working exactly as it should... It handled my 6 light front yard setup with ease and never felt like it was strugglingFor the price I think this transformer offers a lot of useful features without being complicated to use... It powers my landscape lighting reliably and the automatic controls save me from having to remember to switch everything on every evening... If you're putting together a small to medium lighting system this is definitely worth considering... Now my neighbrs might think I hired a professional landscaper when really I just found the right transformer

We have ordered multiple DEWENWILS products over the years and they always seem to be excellent quality and durable. This 60W 120VAC to 12VDC transformer is no exception and is very impressive and robust for only $34, making it a really good value for the money in my opinion. I tested this thoroughly, including the photocell sensor and everything works flawlessly. It is very simple to use, not complicated to set up like some out there are. I love the quick connectors for set up (see pics 2 & 3). This makes connection the wires very quick and easy for installation. They hold very well and no screwdrivers or other tools needed to connect. This transformer has 7 on selections and the off position. It has on for power immediately, auto for power at dusk until dawn, and 2-, 3-, 4-, 6-, and 8-hour timer settings. The timer setting work great when you don't want lights running all night long. You select how many hours you want them to run after dusk, and they go automatically off at the set time interval. There is a memory function built-in so whatever setting you choose, it keeps it and repeats that setting every evening. The size of this unit is small and easy to fit it where others won't (measures approximately 6.9" tall x 4.4" wide x 1.9" thick). It comes with a standard 3-prong standard household plug that is approximately 40" long. It is waterproof and UV resistant. This is an excellent quality, perfectly functional AC to DC transformer for a great price, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone!
