I have a 1970s style house. I think it is mid-century style. But much of it has never been updated, and what has been was cheap junk. So im remodeling EVERYTHING and putting in classy styles that will go into the future with no problem. This light fixture is great. Its going to be easy to install with no additional constructionto put it up, super easy to replace bulbs, and the sleek black metal will help bring it in modern times.

This outdoor light has a simple matte black finish that gives the front of the house a cleaner, more updated look. The clear glass keeps the design classic, so it works well by a front door, garage, or patio without looking too modern or too decorative.The fixture feels sturdy once installed, and the aluminum housing seems better suited for outdoor use than cheaper plastic lights. The fit against a standard wall box was good, and the included hardware made installation fairly straightforward.The open bottom makes changing the bulb easy, and it uses a standard E26 base, so there are plenty of bulb options. I also like that the clear glass lets the bulb put out more light instead of dulling it.Overall, the quality and appearance are good for the price.

This is a fantastic looking light. We installed it by my son’s back entrance. First Impressions is that it has a high end look. The matte black finish is smooth and blends nicely with any style aesthetic. Depending on what it’s paired with… it could integrate with luxury looks all the way to a rustic cabin.The Installation Process was a breeze for my husband. His least favorite thing to work with is electricity and I didn’t hear one 4 letter word during the whole process! Everything we needed was included. We have had several heavy rains and some pretty decent speed winds… so far it’s held up wonderfully. No signs of rust, leaking, or condensation inside the clear glass.The clear glass allows for whatever watt bulb you choose to do its job! This is a pretty dark entrance and it’s more than sufficiently lit.The open-bottom design adds an extra layer of convenience for installing and changing lightbulbs.This light fixture does look and feel expensive. It has a “heavy” look to it, but is actually light weight. I would definitely buy them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a style that is aesthetically versatile, easy to install, and comes in at a great price for the value.We personally used a warm-toned Edison bulb. I highly recommend the Edison style bulbs bc they look very pretty through the clear glass.

The light installed easily and has a clean and elegant appearance. It functions as expected with no extra features besides being switched on or off. It appears more expensive than the listed price and is a good value. The materials seem made to last and I'm interested to see how the metal holds up to the salty humid beach weather at this location. Due to the design shape, it throws a lot of light and because the bulb is fully visible it would look even better with a more intentional bulb selection.I'm happy with this order and would love to install more throughout the property.

We put this up to test it out and it worked flawlessly. It was easy to install and everything included got the job done. The only thing I will say is I wish it was a little brighter. This is a perfect outdoor light for any patio, porch, or front door.

Installation was straightforward with provided hardware, and functions as intended with no flickering when using LED bulbs. Looks good with an Edison bulb. If using a motion sensor bulb, then you will need a radar (microwave) style bulb, as the glass will interfere with an IR motion sensor. This fixture is simple, unobtrusive, attractively designed and suitable for most wet, outdoor locations.Cons: Made in China. The positive and neutral wires are aluminum core, and 18AWG. Although 18 AWG wire is perfectly fine for the internal wiring of an outdoor light fixture, I would be more comfortable if it were a 16 or 14 AWG wire. Should not be a problem if maximum wattage (60W) bulb is not exceeded as the fixture appears to be well made. The ground wire is bare, braided copper. The light socket is a plastic material, not ceramic which is often found in higher quality light fixtures.Verdict: Attractive outdoor light fixture offered at a fair value. Functions as intended. 4-Stars for meeting my expectations.

For a basic porch light, this one is really quite modern and attractive. At its listed dimensions, 9.6"T x 4.7"W x 5.6"D., it's not a big light, but for some applications the size is just right. The color is flat black with clear glass. This light does not feel cheap, and comes with the hardware needed for a normal installation. The bulb is not included with this light - it takes a standard E26 base and there are a multitude of bulbs, especially LEDs, that will work with it. You just can't exceed 60 watts. Chose the bulb brightness and color/temp you want, in fact I found a lovely clear LED bulb with an adjustable base switch that lets you change lighting brightness and tone without changing bulbs.The install was easy, no special wiring needed and the bracket mounting holes are standard. The mounting bracket, screws, and wire nuts are included. Of note: this fixture DOES NOT have a dusk-to-dawn feature, so if that is important to you... look elsewhere. But for a basic, manually switched porch light application, this is a well-made, attractive option.

When buying outdoor lighting online, there is a few lessons I learned. First, it's always a good idea to make sure the brand specializes in lighting instead of a bunch of random products. And that's exactly the case with the the Wowlite brand that only has lighting products on their Amazon storefront page. And they all have good, solid ratings and reviews.I also learned that the most common thing to break on the outdoor lights is the dusk-to-dawn sensors. And once that sensor breaks, you can easily buy a replacement sensor or get one under warranty. But you have to replace it because the light is hardwired to no longer work without a functioning sensor. So you would have to take the light down and install the new sensor. Instead, if you definitely want the dusk-to-dawn sensor, then your best bet is to buy dusk-to-dawn bulbs or adapters that screw into the socket and have sensors that convert the light bukb into dusk-to-dawn.So, for those reasons, I went ahead and ordered this light, which arrived with all parts in thick styrofoam, including the glass panels which were well protected. I attached photos so you could see how the light arrived. The frame of the light is solid, durable metal that does not feel thin or flimsy at all. And the glass panels are also thick and good quality. And the appearance of the light is great with its straight, clean lines. And the size exactly matches the dimensions in the product description. Installation was easy and no different than any other light.And the light immediately worked after I got it installed and turned it on. I observed it all throughout the night and never once did it flicker. And since it has a maximum wattage rating of 60 watts, you can use the highest lumen LED bulbs available in case you want the area to be lit up brightly. Considering it's quality and the fact that it seems built to last, the list price of $40 seems like a great value.
