Key Features

  • 2 in 1 Rust Converter and Metal Primer – Apply Directly Over Rust This product works as both a rust converter and a metal primer in one step. No need for sanding or grinding. Simply remove loose paint, dust, and grease, then brush or spray onto rusted metal surfaces. It saves time and effort for DIY projects and professional repairs.
  • Converts Rust into a Stable Protective Layer Unlike ordinary paints that only cover rust, this formula chemically reacts with iron oxide. It transforms loose rust into a dense, dark, stable film that helps seal out moisture and air. This process reduces the chance of further corrosion and extends the life of metal surfaces.
  • Fast Drying and Easy to Apply Touch dry in 1–2 hours and hard dry in 4–5 hours under normal conditions. Recoating can be done after 4 hours. Apply by brush, roller, or spray. For best results, use 2–3 thin coats, allowing each coat to dry before adding the next. The low viscosity formula provides smooth coverage with minimal effort.
  • Water Based with Low VOC – Easy Cleanup Formulated with a water based system that contains low volatile organic compounds (VOC). It produces less odor compared to solvent based alternatives, making it suitable for indoor and outdoor use. Clean tools and equipment easily with water or thinner immediately after application.
  • Long-Lasting Protection for Multiple Metal Surfaces Once cured, the converted layer forms a durable satin-like finish that helps resist moisture, humidity, and everyday wear. Ideal for metal fences, railings, garden furniture, tools, automotive parts, trailers, farm equipment, and industrial machinery. Helps extend the service life of your metal items.

Effective rust converter and primer

[Color: Black, Size: 35 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)]
This 2 in 1 rust converter paint and metal primer is great to prevent or even treat surface rust before it becomes a real issue. The water based formula goes on easily with no sanding needed and the black finish covers well on frames, trailers, trucks, and chassis.I have used it on a few spots that were starting to show and it sealed them up nicely. The anti rust properties give good protection and the 35 ounce size lasts a while. This is a practical and effective product for keeping metal in better shape. Highly recommend!

I’m very pleased with this rust converter paint. It’s easy to apply and saves a lot of time since it can be used directly over rust without the need for extensive sanding. The black finish gives the metal a clean, refreshed appearance while also providing a protective coating. I like that it works as both a rust converter and primer, making it especially convenient for projects around the truck, trailer, or other metal surfaces. The water based formula is another nice feature and cleanup is simple. Overall, this is a practical product for restoring and protecting rusty metal and a great addition to my DIY supplies.

It arrived safely, with clips on the lid for extra protection. It's always important to get something like this without any leaks, and this arrived with no leaks. It's also nice when the can is still in good condition, and I received mine with no dents. It seems like one liter of this will go quite far. I tested it with the pin in the picture by dipping it into the paint, after making sure anything loose was brushed off, then spreading the paint with a cheap chip brush that I had. Worked great. Dried pretty fast. Looks good. What more can you ask for? The price was $24.99, which isn't too bad, but I see that there is a coupon availble now that makes it a better deal. I do recommend it.

I never even knew something like this existed! I have a pair of 1990 wrought iron garden chairs that have lived outside their entire lives. One was painted a few years ago, but as you can see, the rust came back with a vengeance. I found this Hensire 2‑in‑1 Rust Converter Paint, and wow — this stuff works.I brushed off the loose rust and went straight to painting. The first coat alone gave wonderful coverage and really soaked into the rusted areas. Once dry, it has a soft eggshell sheen and honestly looks almost as good as it did 30 years ago. There’s a slight iron‑paint smell when wet, but the odor is very low, and it dried within an hour.Tomorrow I’ll be doing coat #2 and the bottoms. Funny enough, I actually gave these chairs to the scrap guy about a year ago, and they somehow ended up back here — clearly a meant‑to‑be project. Cleanup was as easy as acrylic paint, and I’m genuinely impressed.I love this paint and highly recommend it if you’re trying to revive old metal. It’s a rust eliminator superhero!!Update: the last 3 pictures are the finished product of just 2 coats! Absolutely amazing, feel and looks great. I've tried the rust type sprays, and while they look okay, this is better, you can feel the difference.

"I am not an experienced painter, but this product was straightforward to use. I cleaned the rusty surface, stirred the paint, and applied it with a brush. The instructions were easy to follow. The final finish dried into a smooth dark coating and made an old rusty piece of metal look refreshed. A good choice for small home improvement projects."

Works well for restoring old metal surfaces

[Color: Black, Size: 35 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)]
"I used this on an old metal garden railing that had visible rust spots. After removing the loose rust and cleaning the surface, the paint went on smoothly with a brush. The black finish covered the rusty areas well and gave the metal a much cleaner appearance.I like that it can be applied directly over rusty areas without spending a lot of time sanding. The water-based formula also made cleanup easier after the project."
