Great value for shrink wrap and an included heat gun!

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
Great value for a shrink wrap set, with the bonus of an included heat gun for melting. The heat gun is nice and compact but significantly easier than trying to use a lighter to shrink a bunch of wraps. The heat shrink is easy to use and fits a variety of different wire gauges.

Handy Little Heat Gun for Wiring ProjectsHandy Little Heat Gun for Wiring Projects

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun), Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
This heat gun is clearly built for heat shrink tubing and solder seal connectors, and it does that job really well, I expect it will have good durability. The item is made of blue plastic, with black trim and metal deflector, it's a nice looking tool. It heats up quickly and seems to hit the right temperature range for shrinking tubing or melting solder seals without immediately burning through the wrap. That makes it a lot easier to use than a full-size heat gun when you are working on smaller wiring jobs. The small size is a big plus. It is easy to handle, and it can get into tighter spaces when you are doing repairs or working around electronics. The included table stand also makes it more convenient to use, especially when you want both hands free to line up the connector or shrink tubing properly.I also like that it comes with a selection of connectors and shrink tubing. The included assortment covers the most common sizes I tend to need, so it is a nice starter setup or backup kit to keep around. Just be careful not to let the shrink tubing touch the metal deflector plate, because it will melt if it makes contact.Overall, this is a solid product for the price. It is basically in line with other heat guns, but in a form factor that is much better suited for this specific kind of work. If you regularly do electronics or wiring projects, it is a good tool to have on hand, and I would recommend it.

simple, straightforward, and multi-use heat gun.

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
Very simple and straightforward heat gun. If you're doing your own electrical work and need to join wires together, this is a simple and easy kit to get you started. The heat gun itself can also be used for other applications, whether it's art pieces, stripping chemicals, or heating metals to remove dents. It's definitely portable, and high functioning for it's size.the kit it comes with has plenty of pieces to get you started, and unless you're doing a huge job, should be enough to get you through most simple DIY applications.

Good Heat Gun, Average Connectors, No Replacement for Quality Crimp ConnectorsGood Heat Gun, Aver...

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun), Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
I usually use marine grade crimp connectors with the waterproof heat shrink insulation, but I thought if these could be faster or easier, eliminating a step or two, that they would be worth trying. This kit comes with an assortment of sizes of connectors, additional heat shrink tubing, and a heat gun with an air deflector. There is a lot more shrink tubing than connectors. It would be a better value with more connectors and less shrink tubing. The gun is lighter weight than the one I have, but put out excellent heat and air flow. The deflector is a good idea. Holding the stripped wire in place is not as easy as I hoped. When heated, the plastic insulation melts first and so it doesn't help support the wires as the solder gets to the melting point. There is far less solder in these than I expected, but it was enough to make a secure electrical connection. The finished joint wasn't as pretty as I hoped, but I guess that's why they give you the heat shrink tubing. After trying these, my advice is that if you only need to make an occasional repair, this is a handy kit to have around. But since it only works for connecting two wires together and doesn't have spade or ring connectors, just butt connections, it's not very versatile, so I'd still recommend getting a good pair of crimping pliers and using marine grade crimp connectors instead.

Grabbed this for some 12V wiring I'd been putting off. Heats up in seconds, and the low/high toggle is handy when you don't need the full 750°F.It's light, and shaped like a fat pencil, so you can hold it at weird angles under a dash without your wrist giving out. The fold-out stand is a nice touch, and the hook nozzle wraps heat around the connector instead of cooking everything next to it.Plenty of connectors and tubing included, in enough sizes that I haven't come up short yet. The solder seals are the real win: strip, overlap the strands, heat till the solder flows, done. Way cleaner than tape.

Wonderful wire-joining systemWonderful wire-joining system

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun), Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
The simplest way to join wires is the twist. They make contact. They can be pulled apart, and there is no protection on them, but they are joined. So that they don't contact outside things where they shouldn't, electrical tape is sometimes the next step. For a "permanent" connection, soldering the wires together has sometimes been added to the process. Sometimes, a simple twist, optionally solder, and then tape has been used as a connection for an important circuit for years, even decades. But, what if one could make a really neat, secure, permanent, and even waterproof connection with almost no trouble at all? This is the kit for that. Strip the wire ends, finding clean copper. Find a solder sleeve (connector) that fits over the wire and its insulation. If you will want to put shrink tubing over this connection for added protection and a uniform color, then put a piece of this on one of the wires at this time, since it may not be possible after the wires are connected. Put the wire ends into the sleeve so that the tips of the copper strands overlap or intermingle. Do not add flux, because that is already in the connector. Use the heat gun liberally to shrink the sleeve over the wire joint and its insulation. When it is shrunk nicely to the insulation in a waterproof seal, keep going until the sleeve is really, really shrunk tight and the solder has melted and flowed into the wire tips. It seems counterintuitive to heat a plastic shrink sleeve this much, but the joint is not sound until all of this is done. You now have an excellent connection of your cut wires. If you are covering the connector with a heat shrink tube, slide that over the connector now and apply heat to it, until it is completely shrunk into place. No soldered, tape-wrapped wire connection can compare with the quality and appearance of this connection. Although these connectors are made for splicing two wire ends together, a larger connector might be successfully used to create a "Y" connection of wires, etc. So simple, yet such fine results.

Nice Set, Decent Mini Heat Gun & Large Selection Of Shrink Tubing.Nice Set, Decent Mini Heat Gun ...

[Size: 300pcs (with heat gun), Size: 300pcs (with heat gun)]
Been doing a lot of 12 volt stuff on my Jeep lately like lights, a compressor for an air horn, 2 LOC for sub and stereo amps, some other random wiring fixes, and I was getting tired of hauling out my big heat gun every time. This little heat gun is perfect. It heats up fast and the high setting shrinks the tubing almost instantly. It’s small enough to get into tight spots under the hood and the kickstand actually comes in handy. I also like how the plastic body of the gun covers the entire heat nozzle so there's nothing really exposed to burn or light stuff on fire, except for them very face of the barrel. Very safe. The solder seal connectors are awesome. The clear tubes with the solder in the middle melt quick and have double seals, so once you shrink them down the ends of the wire are basically sealed off for you. Super clean connections with almost no effort. The 3 to 1 shrink tubing is good quality too. Even without a glue liner it tightens up really well and holds strong. For the price, getting the heat gun plus a big assortment of shrink tubing and solder connectors is a great deal. If you do any automotive wiring, this kit is absolutely worth having.
