The antique brass handle is beautiful, and we want one for every room now, but it'll take some effort to do right. On its own, the handle feels solid with some heft to it. The crisscrossing grooves that make up the grip look like a metal file, but feel polished. Grubby hands may leave gunk in the grooves, but nothing a utility toothbrush couldn't work out. I appreciate how almost every component has a uniform antique brass finish. My only complaint in terms of appearance is how the latch itself is a silvery chrome. And though it came greased, ours started a little stiff and needed some help. Not all door handles are equal! We ordered the Passage handle (no lock) to replace an existing office door handle. Our old one had a square mount, which left marks that still show outside the new circle mount. We'll redo to sand and paint later. The faceplate and strike plate were a little bigger than our previous, so they sit outside the old cutouts. Thankfully these plates are thin and our door frame has plenty of leeway, so with a little realignment it was no problem functionally for us. It's barely visible on our door, but fairly visible on our frame, so check beforehand!

I bought this to replace an antique knob on my antique pantry door in the basement. While the old hardware had plenty of character, it wasn't very practical when my hands were full and the brass was finally starting to look bad after 80 years. This lever style has been a much more convenient replacement. The first thing I noticed was the weight. It feels more substantial than I expected, and the finish has a nice, even appearance. The knurled texture not only looks good but also provides a secure grip without being uncomfortable. I also accidentally slipped with a screwdriver during installation and left what I thought was a noticeable mark. After rubbing it with my thumb, it buffed away to the point that I can no longer see it, which was a pleasant surprise. One feature I really appreciated was the pair of anti-rotation spikes built into the mounting plate. They bite into the door during installation to help keep the handle from twisting over time. I probably wouldn't use that feature on a steel door, but since this is designed for interior doors (which are usually wood), I think it's a smart addition.Installation was refreshingly straightforward. I honestly expected another one of those "simple" home projects that turns into an afternoon of adjustments, but this handle lined up perfectly on my existing door and installed quickly without any modifications to the hardware itself. The only adjustment I had to make was tapping the strike plate tab on the door frame slightly so the latch engaged more smoothly. That was an issue with my existing door alignment rather than the handle, and it took less than a minute to fix.Overall, I'm impressed with both the quality and the installation experience. It looks much more expensive than it is, feels solid in use, and has been a great upgrade for my pantry door. Based on my experience, I'd happily buy another one for future interior door projects.

TL;DRAn absolute masterpiece of design. Heavy, sturdy, and features a smooth bearing mechanism that brings instant designer "gravitas" to any room. How to rise up the style without breaking the budget as a designer? THIS!With a bit of talent, you can totally insert this retro aesthetic into pretty much any room. It immediately elevates the space, delivering that premium, high-end "feel" that usually only outrageous designer hardware can get close to. And the feel is honestly everything here.It has a wonderful, heavy-in-the-hand sturdiness to it, but the smooth bearing when you push it down to use it will actually make you reconsider your life choices as a Home Depot peon looking for a cheap 10-pack of basic knobs because "nobody cares..."Well, here, you care. You get the distinct vibe of a Titanic VIP class stateroom, or with a little imagination (and I have plenty), a beautifully revisited and upgraded Steampunk aesthetic. It could easily anchor a classic, wooden-paneled English library style room too. I love design, and I am seriously inspired by this piece. I know that sounds a bit silly for a door handle, but it’s exactly these tiny details that separate a truly talented designer from a wannabe filled with internet tutorials who knows the technical rules but misses the "eye."Pictures really do not do it justice. It was originally destined for my bathroom door, but now that I have experienced the weight and presence of it, I am switching it to my office door instead. The sheer gravitas it brings will absolutely play in my favor for entering a "serious business area"! :DNote: Since my native language is French, I used an AI assistant to polish up my grammar and sentence structure, but the opinions and enthusiastic design voice are 100% my own.

This door knob came safely and looks just like advertised. The finish seems solid and should hopefully last for years (doesn’t seem like it will peel or flake, but time will tell). I got the aged bronze color. The assembly feels rock solid like a Schlage interior door handle, and it goes together easily. The screws and holes on the unit i received are all nicely machined so no messing with poor threads. When you assemble the handle on the door there are a couple little spikes next to the screw holes that kind of dig into the door wood for added strength (noting this incase you have historic doors that you might not want any new marks on). It seems to create a very stable connection. The handles work well, and look nice. I knocked off a star for price because at $37 per door it feels a little excessive when it’s an unknown brand that can disappear into the night. $37 is a Schlage price point, and (for the moment) I know I can call Schlage and get a human to talk to if anything goes wrong in a year or so.Bottom line, if it’s exactly the look you want and you can’t find it from a more reputable brand, it’s initially a quality handle and should be worth the buy, but no guarantees yet down the road.I’ll update my review if I ever have trouble with it.
