This is a straightforward folding pocket knife with a solid feel and a practical size. The aluminum handle keeps it reasonably light, while the 9 cm alloy-steel blade is large enough for common cutting tasks such as opening boxes, cutting rope, trimming small branches, or general outdoor use.The folding design makes it easy to carry in a pocket, backpack, or emergency kit without taking up much space. The handle feels secure enough in the hand, and the knife opens and closes smoothly once you get used to the mechanism. For camping, hiking, or basic utility work, it covers the kinds of jobs I would expect from a compact folding knife.This is not something I would treat as a heavy-duty fixed-blade tool, and I would not use it for prying or other tasks that put unnecessary sideways force on the blade. Nice looking knife! Kind of "Hefty" (in a good way) it takes-and holds an excellent edge. One handed opening is well executed. This has become my EDC knife.

At $20, this is a good knife to add to the collection. Good, not great nor will it enter an EDC rotation for me.I am a fan of liner lock blades. Half of the blades I grew up with are liner locks so I am quite familiar and comfortable with using them which means I can wield this knife one handed both open and closed with comfort and trust. The lock spring seems to be mounted and bent at the right angle to fully engage the blade to keep it open and has the right tolerances to allow for smooth open/close action.Out of the box, the tool steel blade has a good sharp edge on it. It is not hair shaving sharp but it will slice paper fairly cleanly. Most knives will need a true sharpening when purchased so this is expected. However, for the price of this knife, the sharpness was far better than expected.The body and blade of the knife materials do make this a little heavier than many similar sized options but I personally like a beefier feeling blade when it comes to short blades.My biggest complaint is the deployment. I love an automatic blade. This is designed to mimic an automatic blade. It is more of a folding swing blade though as it has no spring to assist the deployment. The level does allow for a quick deployment which makes it fast and easy to use if needed. The complaint I have and why this will never be an EDC and rated at 4 stars is when closed, there is no positive detent stop to keeps the blade securely closed. If it is jarred or bumped enough, it will open slightly on its own.I am not affected by this based on how I carry, but do note that this does not have a moves me belt clip. It is fixed. If you have a drill, tap/die you could make it interchangeable but form factory it is fixed to one side.

Love the "Easy open" lever on the back.* Value [8/10] - A little high, but still worth it for a good quality blade.Overview:I do like my sharp and shiny objects! This one came up for review, and I'm very happy I decided to go for it. This blade is great! I really like the heft of it overall, and I'm probably getting sold on a "weight is quality" bias, but I do really like the heft. I also really like the texture that they've put into the handle. I feel like I can get a good, solid grip on this knife, which is an absolute must. I also very much like the flipper opener - it is smooth and clicks right into place. The lock itself seems pretty standard, but so far it at least works reliably and is easy to disengage when you need to close the blade. I'm not usually a fan of belt clips, but this one seems like it would work well. It has the only style that has ever worked for me, so there's that. Finally, when it comes to value this is currently listed as $20. I'm inclined to say that is a little on the high side, but for the quality and smoothness of this blade I'm also inclined to give some leeway in the price department. Time will tell how long this blade will last, but if it ever got lost or broken, then I would seriously consider buying this one again.Hope this helps =)

This knife is good and bad. It is very sturdy. 3.5” satin finished D2 blade. Flipper, but no spring. Action feels great. Smooth and fast. Good blade alignment. Nice grind and edge! The handle is aluminum with what feels like g10 inserts. Nice pocket clip, but I prefer it on the other end for blade up deployment. I don’t think it is moveable. The bad? This knife is ridiculously heavy. I mean it is awkwardly heavy. I carried it for an hour and already had enough. If you carry a Buck 110 or Cold Steel SR1 every day, this knife may be okay for you. But it is too heavy for me. And when I first got it, the liner lock was very hard to engage, leaving the blade less than fully extended. And when I finally got it to lock in, I could not disengage the liner lock to close the knife. It was stuck. I had to force it. There must have been a large burr on the liner lock. But after fidgeting with this knife for a few weeks, it has apparently worked itself out. However, this is an indicator of poor quality control. Overall at $20 this knife is solid and sharp. It is not a good carry for me. But I find it to be a great folder for the house to slice open inbound boxes. It is surprisingly enjoyable.

This knife made a great first impression. Right out of the box, it has a nice weight that makes it feel substantial without being overly heavy. The blade arrived extremely sharp, and the opening action is impressively smooth. Even if you don't regularly carry a folding knife, it's easy to deploy with one hand, and once open, it feels well-balanced and comfortable to use.Build quality is generally very good. The blade locks securely into place with very little blade play, and the overall construction feels solid enough for everyday tasks. It definitely doesn't feel like a cheaply made knife.The biggest drawback is the locking and closing mechanism. While it functions properly, it doesn't feel nearly as refined as the opening action. Releasing the lock requires sliding a small latch out of the way before folding the blade closed, and the motion isn't especially intuitive.More importantly, closing the knife requires folding the blade back toward your hand while manipulating the lock. Although it can be done safely with proper technique, it isn't as confidence-inspiring as the closing mechanisms found on many other folding knives. New users will likely want to take their time until they become familiar with how it operates.The release latch itself also feels somewhat out of place. It works, but its design doesn't seem as polished as the rest of the knife and takes a little getting used to.Aside from that, the knife performs very well. It has a sharp factory edge, smooth deployment, comfortable balance, and solid overall construction.Overall, this is a well-built, sharp, and smooth-opening folding knife that offers a great user experience once the blade is deployed. Its only significant weakness is the somewhat awkward locking and closing mechanism, which feels less refined than the rest of the design. Once you become familiar with it, it's perfectly usable, but it's definitely the one area where I'd like to see improvement.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this knife - but was pleasantly surprised when I received it. I'll preface this with, I'm no knife expert, nor do I use knives a lot - but i do want something in my hand that I can rely on when I do. I've got a knife that I keep with my kayaking gear and didn't want to rely on my memory to switch it back to my kayak bag after camping, so wanted to pick up something else to keep with my camping gear. I feel like this is a solid choice for that job - close to being really good. Out of the box, the knife has a good weight and opens so smoothly that even someone who doesn't use a knife like this on a daily basis can do so easily. Once open, the knife has a good balance (to my hand) and is shipped with a really nice edge. I was surprised how well it felt, how sharp, and how smooth it opened. My only concern, and I don't know if a more seasoned knife user would agree with me on this, closing the knife feels a little less... polished? I'm not crazy about how it closes, though I'm sure I'll get used to it, it feels like a really easy thing to bungle. The locking mechanism isn't a natural movement (to me) to unlock and move blade back into position while keeping fingers out of the way.I'm also a little bit leery of the locking mechanism holding the knife open (keeping it from flipping back to closed position where your fingers are sitting). I'm going to really watch my knife techniques, maybe this isn't going to be an issue, but I think it's worth keeping in mind until sure it's not going to unlock and try to close on you.Overall, the knife itself seems to be a good buy - the D2 steel seems to be a known and appreciated material for a blade and hasa nice edge out of the box. The handle and weight feel good in my hand, and the opening mechanism is really nice. This has the potential to be a really nice all purpose knife if the locking mechanism holds well over time.

This is a very nice looking and sturdy EDC knife. The D2 heavy tool steel blade makes it a big plus. D2 is a respected high carbon, high chromium, semi-stainless used in a wide variety of hard use tools.This knife has some heft to it, and it feels great in the hand. it is not quite as heavy as my Buck 110, but it is close.The knife has bead blasted handles and blade, and steel liners, as tested with a magnet. The online advertisement claims the handles are an aluminum alloy, but I was able to lift the knife handily with my testing magnet. The handles have a textured synthetic insert which appears to be G10.The blade has a shallow hollow grind. The blade above the grind tested at approximately 1/8" thick. and is almost exactly 1" wide at the pivot.The overall is approximately 8 1/4" open. The blade is right on 3 1/2" from the hilt to the tip. Closed length is about 4 3/4"Opening the knife is slick and easy. This is not a spring assist, but the blade flicks out using the stud on the blade or with a snap of the wrist. The steel liner lock catches perfectly and releases as it should with the thumb. I note no wobble in the blade in any direction.One thing I like, is that while the blade swings open easily, there is a slight catch in the closed position that prevents inadvertent pocket opening. There is no additional safety lock to prevent opening.The knife is assembled with Torx screws, and it appears the blade tension can be adjusted by Torx as well. The blade is slightly spaced between the liner plates by a bushing of some type. It does not feel like a bearing To my fingers, I feel it is more likely a slick synthetic.Neither the knife nor the packaging indicate the manufacturer or the country of origin.Overall, this is a great EDC, with a blade already razor sharp, ready for work. It looks great, and would be perfect in a jeans pocket, hanging on the low carry spring pocket clip. It would be at home in a construction tool belt or a mechanic's box.At this price point, I believe it is a surprisingly good value. I feel that no one using or receiving this knife will feel it is anything but a great, dependable blade.
