If you consider what all you receive, this set comes with a lot. I won't repeat the listing but consider whether you'd actually get value out of all the various pieces. If you're like me and had never thought about a heat gun before but have a specific project in mind, the set will likely fill a lot of your needs. My guess is I'll find more uses for it over time, so it's nice to have a variety of tools and different size shrink tubes to use in the future.So why 3 stars? At its core, I see this as a heat gun package. The construction is very light weight and minimal. The temperature is controlled by the knob on the back side and the handle holds the a switch for 3 settings to adjust air volume. On a 1 -> 5 -> Max temp scale scaled with an off -> low -> high setting, how do you gauge what temperature air is really coming out? This is all to suggest caution and to start low with as little exposure time as possible while you figure out how to mentally calibrate that. Again, for an infrequently used tool in an area you may not have a lot of use in, this is tolerable and low price for what you get and the versatility of package are the truly favorable aspects. If you know you only need the gun then consider that there are lower priced gun only options out there of comparable quality or higher end options where the money for the tubes and accessories gets shifted to better construction, smaller form factor, more specific temperature control, or even digital read outs.This thing advertises itself as being able to get up to 1112*F. That is not messing around, and if true, it is capable of frying a lot of things very quickly. After you are done, understand that will take some time for the heat to dissipate so be sure to have a flat surface so you can rest the gun while it is cooling. Some other guns have a kick stand

Awesome for wire repair or just installing electronics and having to retrofit the wiring, such as when installing an aftermarket car radio or replacing the electrical connection for a utility trailer -- I've used this on both. The solder seal connectors add strength and protection to the connection. The heat gun heats fast and I love the variability in the temperature selection. This is definitely a professional grade tool. Unlike other heat guns I've used, this one allows you to stand it up on end for even greater flexibility in use. The attachments provide additional flexibility in use. This is a great value for the money.

This VOJOTO heat gun kit is a very good value for hobbyist wiring. I used it to connect a motor for a 3D-printed oil pump, and it performed well while using the focusing nozzle. The included 300-piece assortment of solder-seal connectors is well-organized and beginner-friendly, providing a secure, waterproof seal.I particularly found the reflecting nozzle useful for uniform heat distribution. The tool features a variable 5-level temperature dial and two fan speeds, which allowed me to find the right settings for my wire gauge without scorching the insulation.However, I noticed two minor issues. The "1.5S Fast Heating" claim is a bit of an exaggeration as it takes longer to reach the maximum temperature. Also, the metal nozzle gets very hot instantly and lacks a protective shroud or cooling stand, requiring extra caution during use. Instructions say to set to lowest temp and allow to cool for 15-seconds, then unplug and place on a flat surface, sitting it with its backend down and the front tube facing up "to enhance the natural cooling effect".Despite these small drawbacks, the sturdy construction and comfortable handle make it a great choice for DIYers. For the price, it is a very useful tool for electrical repairs, and it made my project much easier to complete.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this kit. The solder seal connectors are of acceptable quality, there is a nice assortment of shrink tubing, the heat gun has some nice features, and it comes with an assortment of useful attachments and tools.What I don't appreciate is the grossly exaggerated specifications of the heat gun. With the heat set on 5/max and the fan at high power (2), the gun pulls just under 1400 Watts. At full power, fan set at 1, it pulls just under 700 Watts. Much of the power goes to the fan motor rather than the heating element. Then there are the heat claims. Again, at full power, fan speed 2, the maximum heat output I could achieve was 427.5⁰F. At fan speed 1, the maximum was the same. Higher fan speeds will not increase the temperature beyond the heating element's maximum temperature. The fan speed 2 section of the heating chart is not only useless, it aims to defy basic physics.I did test the kit by soldering a piece of speaker wire, and I have to admit, it did well. I used the deflector shield and set the gun upright on its back, which made the job very easy and controllable. The gun is quite sturdy sitting upright for hands-free work and for cooling. The solder ring melted nicely into the twisted copper wires and the seals melted nicely for protecting the connection from moisture and debris. I do have to dock one star for the bizarrely exaggerated specs advertised, but if you just need a decent kit for securely connecting and protecting electrical wires, this kit is a good value.

Been doing a bunch of 12‑volt wiring on my Jeep lately, so when I spotted this 1800watt heat gun kit on the Vine I had to check it out. I have 2 heat guns, a mini pen‑style and my cordless DeWalt, but this thing blows them out of the water. It gets hot fast and when I say hot, I mean charcoal‑starter hot. One of the attachments is literally meant to start a grill, and after using it, I believe it.The stand‑up design is awesome. It balances perfectly on the back end so it sits straight up, leaving both hands free to work. Between the 0/1/2 switch and the variable dial on the back, you can dial in the exact heat you want. It also moves a ton of air, which makes shrinking tubing way easier.This kit also includes a huge assortment of red and black shrink tubing in all the common sizes, plus multiple sizes of solder‑seal shrink connectors. With my weaker heat guns I could never get the solder to melt cleanly in the middle of those connectors, but this one melts them quick and locks everything together nicely.They even throw in e different scrapers and a bunch of different nozzles. I got the 300‑piece kit and it’s definitely a good deal for the price. At 1800 watts, this thing is a beast. Very Nice setup.

This is a well designed and made heat gun. It is light weight and easy to use. Made of hardened plastic, it is strong and durable. It has a comfortable handle good for long uses with a two fan speed finger switch that has a off position, low fan, and high fan speeds. There is a wheel on top that easily turns for the adjustment of temperature. There are several attachments included that can easily be attached and removed depending on which you may need for the project. There are two types of connectors included in the kit that come in many sizes that are used to make repairs to wiring. One type is used to slide over and seal a connection between two wires that has been soldered, the other to slide over the wire connection to solder and seal the two wires together. Both types melt the connectors to make a insulated and water proof connection good for both inside or out. If there is a down side to the sleeve type connectors, they will need to be sized to just a bit larger than the wires they are connecting because they will only shrink so much. If you pick one size that is to large, they stop shrinking and not make a seal on the wires. On the ones that contain solder, the same holds true about selecting the right size but I would like to see the solder melt better, enough to turn into a liquid to insure a perfect bond. Both still work OK, just not perfect. All said, this heat gun and kit are worth the cost of $39 and a good addition to your DIY inventory.NOTE: If you haven't used the connectors or heat gun before, practice before use. You don't need to run out of wire you need to repair by picking the wrong size. Plus, there are many other uses for a heat gun other than working on wires and this one can do them all.
