I’m a big fan of Delta and Moen products in general due to their long track record of leak resistant hardware design, lifetime warranty, and good customer service. The Delta name is most important when selecting the hardware that will go behind your wall, as that’s where the most significant and problematic leaks are most likely to occur (especially since they are hidden behind the wall, so they can cause significant damage before being discovered, and generally require expensive demolition to fix.That being said, the outermost visible shower fixtures are far less imperative to be a specific brand, other than the need for the the attachment fittings and cover plate’s hole spacings to match perfectly. Obviously, it’s easiest to go with a brand that matches the rough-in valve you choose, but it’s not necessary. Since the Ruffin valve and other behind the wall components are the most important for leak reduction, I use the recommended Delta multichoice R22000 valve, as recommended in this product’s installation instructions. This valve allows for future flexibility to change the shower fixture look or color easily.Overall, I like the square, modern, matte black look of this kit’s components, but the feel of some of the parts (i.e. the hand sprayer and the showerhead) we have a lot to be desired since they’re made of plastic, which looks slightly shiny and feels very cheap in the hand. At this price point, I would expect everything to be made of metal, so this was quite disappointing. Since I had already planned to use a different brand and style of showerhead, I could easily look past that one; even if I did plan to use it, it is mountain once and then generally not touched very often – if it all. The hand sprayer, on the other hand, is a high touch item that the plastic housing will be very noticeable on - both to the eyes and to the hands - so the poor quality material choice for this component is far more egregious and thus more difficult to look past. I expected better from Delta at any price point.

Just finished installing this Delta brushed gold shower set and it completely changed the look of the shower. The square 6.5-inch rain head, handheld, and modern lever trim all match perfectly. The finish is consistent and rich and exudes subtle luxury.Water pressure feels strong and even from the rain head. The handheld is solid and the hose is flexible without feeling flimsy. Controls are smooth and precise.Now the reason I almost had to give it 4 stars. Before the initial installation I had to get very creative to reaffix the rubber seal around the portion of the faceplate around the water valve handle (I think you should be able to see it sticking out misaligned in my picture). Not what you expect from a premium price point offering from Delta. After that though it was quite straightforward and easy once you get the diverter in place. All the pieces lined up cleanly and the trim sits flush against the wall with no gaps.If you’re doing a bathroom refresh and want that modern square look in a warm brushed gold tone, this set delivers. Looks expensive, performs well, and the Delta quality is there. Overall, happy with it.

I installed this Delta shower system during a bathroom remodel because I wanted both a fixed shower head and a handheld option without using separate trim controls. The brushed SpotShield finish looks clean and modern, and the square design works well with the other fixtures in the room. I purchased the required compatible rough-in valve separately before the walls were closed.The 6.5-inch overhead shower provides a steady spray with good coverage, while the handheld unit is useful for rinsing the shower walls and helping children wash. Switching between the two outlets feels simple through the integrated diverter trim. I also appreciate having separate control over temperature and function in one compact panel. The included pressure-balanced cartridge keeps the water temperature more consistent when another fixture is used elsewhere in the house.Water spots are less noticeable on the brushed finish than they were on my previous polished fixtures. The components feel solid, and the finished installation has a professional appearance. Overall, this system combines practical flexibility with a streamlined design and has made the shower much more comfortable for everyday use.

Delta has hit it out the park with their stunning Champagne Bronze tone. It's honestly made it difficult for years to coordinate the rest of your bath hardware until other manufacturers had caught on but at the end of the day, the original Delta color is still king. The pale golden hue with the hint of honey warmth is truly remarkable to look at. Delta's modern square shower faucet set is a quality system. The square trim coordinates well with some of the Vero hardware I also have in the master bath. The water nozzles can be cleaned by just running your finger over the soft nozzle tips to dislodge any calcified buildup that would restrict the flow rate. We clean our bathrooms weekly and wipe down the hardware so it's just a few extra seconds to clear off the spray nozzles and keep the flow nice and strong. All of the criticism towards the champagne bronze finish showing water spots is true but it also wipes away so easily with just water.The multichoice valve (which is not included) makes it easy to simply change the trim and faucets in the future should your style change. I highly recommend when purchasing the Delta multichoice valve model R22000 that you choose the version that includes screwdriver stops so if you intend to change the shower head and trim in the future you can turn off the water flow right from the valve rough instead of shutting off the water to the house. And if you're buying into the multichoice system in the first place you'll probably want to change this trim set out in the future. Pricey stuff but Delta is backed by an excellent lifetime warranty and I've only ever changed a cartridge once out of all my Delta faucets in the last decade.
