You can clearly see from the product page that it is very pretty, and it absolutely looks as pictured when you finally pull it out of the box. When you take it out of the box, you will immediately notice that the overall build quality is actually fantastic and it absolutely looks as pictured on the product page. It is honestly very pretty and gives off that perfect vintage bohemian aesthetic that everyone seems to be completely obsessed with right now. You get all the beautiful rich glass colors and the metal hardware has a really nice weight to it so it does not feel cheap or flimsy at all. That being said, I want to give a completely honest product evaluation here and mention that it is much smaller in person than you might expect from the promotional photos. It really has a compact footprint, which actually ended up working out perfectly for my limited counter space, but you should definitely pull out a tape measure before you buy if you are expecting a massive room centerpiece.Putting this beauty together is a total breeze in terms of the actual instructions, but I need to give you a massive warning about the physical construction of the shade mechanism. The assembly is easy but dangerous as you can severely pinch your fingers or skin putting this thing together. You literally just have to attach a few pieces, which sounds simple enough, but the metal clips that hold the glass dome in place are incredibly stiff. You have to use a ton of force to squeeze them together, and if you slip even a tiny bit, those metal edges are definitely going to get you. I highly recommend wearing some thick work gloves or using a household tool to press the prongs in so you do not end up with blood blisters like I almost did. Once you get past that little hurdle, the structural integrity is top notch, but that tricky setup process is definitely one of the biggest pros and cons to weigh when considering this decorative item.As for the actual functionality and light output, do not expect this to completely illuminate your entire living space. It's not super bright either, you won't be able to use it as a main lamp for a room, but the brightness level is fine for supplemental lighting on a small desk and it creates the most beautiful cozy ambient lighting for late night computer work. It is a fantastic value for money if you just want a stunning accent piece for your workspace.
